Who are we hiring?

next coach.webp

I want some serious suggestions on who you want to be the next head coach. I know this is a lot to ask but let’s try to keep this thread on topic.

Okay here goes my take on what could happen.

Coach Enos gets fired and if goes then OL coach will go also. So if Diaz hires a new OC he will need one that coach QB'S as well. The guy at OK State would fit both roles as QB/OC but we would need an OL coach. Also with his success with Chubba Hubbard it keep Chaney and Knighton committed. Not mention the QB from Conn. But Diaz would have to embrace the uptempo movement.

Now if UM hires the LSU WR/co-Oc we need a QB coach and OL coach.

On defense we need a new assistant coach who is fierce and will make the kids respect them. Diaz's defense needs an elite dline coach to work well. Coach Ron Burton from Mich St or dear I say bring home Kevin Patrick. Both of whom will get the attention and respect of the defense immediately.

Go Canes
Patrick would be great, but is that a realistic option??

And with the oldest offensive line in college football, a first round QB, and a plethora of skill players, he corched his way to an L against Auburn and inexplicably corched his way to a loss vs ASU. CORCH
Guess 6-6 to losses to FIU GT and Duke is worse??

Rhule isn’t realistic. He’s most likely gone to the NFL after this season.

Give me Fleck, Clawson, or Norvell.

To be honest, and it pains me to say this, but Miami is going to have to overpay a coach if they want to entice someone worth ish to come here. I also feel that a new athletic director should be hired. I thought Blake panicked after Richt resigned and hired a clown who clearly wasn't ready for the job. If you're not ready to pay 8 million a year for a top notch coach, fold the program

To answer OP's question, I think Petersen in Washington has peaked and may be ready for a change. Rhule at Baylor, Fleck at Minnesota, or of course....the notorious M.E.Y.E.R.

If not one of the college guru up and comers then:

Chuck Pagano: great job as Bears DC this year, former NFL HC, was here during our resurrection era, would know a ton of coaches and has a great personality.

I’m not 100% in on firing Manny but at the same time I wouldn’t be upset if we did. I do think Enos and the DL coach needs to go.

Somebody of high authority at UM must actually care or be ****ed at the situation. Tell me who is that person.... cuz absent one it’s fn a very long summer.
