Who are we hiring?

Realistically I think only Cristobal would be interested. Problem is it looks real bad to fire a coach after 1 year. Miami screwed itself bigtime. Probably the least pleasant but most logical course of action is to fire Blake James immediately and let Diaz coach out the remainder of his contract. Cristobal's buyout drops from 10 mil to something like 2 million after 2020 (it might be slightly higher but it's a dramatic drop in price). Oregon put in the huge buyout as a poison pill so they wouldn't get Willie Taggarted again and have someone leave after only a year. .

I want some serious suggestions on who you want to be the next head coach. I know this is a lot to ask but let’s try to keep this thread on topic.

Okay here goes my take on what could happen.

Coach Enos gets fired and if goes then OL coach will go also. So if Diaz hires a new OC he will need one that coach QB'S as well. The guy at OK State would fit both roles as QB/OC but we would need an OL coach. Also with his success with Chubba Hubbard it keep Chaney and Knighton committed. Not mention the QB from Conn. But Diaz would have to embrace the uptempo movement.

Now if UM hires the LSU WR/co-Oc we need a QB coach and OL coach.

On defense we need a new assistant coach who is fierce and will make the kids respect them. Diaz's defense needs an elite dline coach to work well. Coach Ron Burton from Mich St or dear I say bring home Kevin Patrick. Both of whom will get the attention and respect of the defense immediately.

Go Canes

Saban needs to go. His team is undisciplined and sloppy with the ball. Also his defences gave up 30 plu vs a freshman QB

I get that it looks bad - but what just happened this year looks way worse. Something has to be done and we all know how this ends; so let’s rip the bandaid off tomorrow.

Realistically hiring a new oc is our best case scenario but if I was the AD I’d go hire Lane Kiffin and get the best DC money can buy.

Fleck lmao!!! the same Fleck who got his boat rowed today!

Rhule is average to me. Turning around mediocre programs is cool, but what is the winning tradition at schools like Temple and baylor

Sorry I didn't know we were only allowed to pick coaches that won their games today. Dude has had Minnesota's most successful season in 50 years and he can't be our coach because he lost to what will be a top 10 team. Got it. Rhule has also turned around a pathetic program into one that controls its own destiny to the playoff. Who's your pick so I can chastise it?

Mario may not be an “Elite” coach but he’s an elite recruiter. And we for sure haven’t had that. He’s recruited his **** off on the West Coast. I think he would clean house back in his backyard of SoFla.

He also would make the culture tougher. His game day coaching is average, but we would be beat Duke, GT, and FIU and getting this program back on solid ground at the least.
