Recently had a fun similar thread. Who’s someone you think doesn’t get enough credit for how good they was here?

Truly one of my favorite Canes EVER.

Mo Sikes is a good one. I think a guy like Shaq Quarterman gets crapped on unnecessarily by some. I think Mike James was underrated. Allen Hurns at WR, Jarret Payton at RB (if only for his performance vs FSU). My against the grain hot take pick - Ken Dorsey.
People here loved to crap on Shaq until they saw what the defense looked like without him.

Anthony Chick said that we don't have to be losers anymore... Jk so overated

Mo Sikes, honestly Sean Taylor rubbed off on him and they played very similarly. Mo was a beast.

Quad Hill, half the time he was the best 3rd down back we had and that's saying something. Always reliable to catch a screen or leak out on PA

Kevin Beard

Kelly Jennings/ [BGCOLOR=initial]Marcus Maxey, a shut down duo[/BGCOLOR]

Damien Berry, don't know why he wasn't the starter

Dedrick Epps, was one reliable and athletic TE I wouldn't want to try and tackle

Buck Ortega, fairly reliable target. Never a starter but we ran a ton of 2 TE sets

Mo w/the pick against UF.......just fantastic.

100 percent on Quad...great safety valve

I might be in the minority here, but I thought Mo Sikes was a bit overrated. I think he was an above average safety with decent cover skills. I guess it's not his fault he played in the same backfield with two of the best safeties to play college football. I always thought Mo Sikes was very suspect against the run. I remember him taking bad angles and missing tackles frequently on running plays. Again, I don't think he was a bad player by all means, just not as good as some of us remember him.

Now Darryl Williams, that guy was amazing, and we hardly ever talk about him in our conversations with our best safeties.

I think my recollection of certain players might be colored by their play in certain games (Jarret Payton v FSU for example.) Mo is one of those guys for me - that game-sealing INT vs UF made him a favorite for me, but yeah on balance he wasn't necessarily a great UM safety.
