With Florida State I root for them occasionally. I certainly preferred them over Auburn in the title game. The only period I've hated them nearby the Gators was late '80s through early '90s. They had the talent base to nab several titles and threaten where the Canes were.

I'll also root against Mike Leach but mostly I'll cherish that he'll provide several reasons to laugh at him throughout 2017.

fvck that. if anyone takes out bama, it should be us.

id rather bama win out because i want a shot at them in the playoffs. you're afraid of bama taking a run at our legacy, and you want FSU to be the team that stops it?

this is the type of thought process one reverts to when they cheer for FSU. its pathetic.

guys crying for our biggest rival to stop the big, bad bama dynasty.

Not saying I'm a better Canes fan than the 50 percent of folks in this poll who want Free Shoes to beat Alabama ...

But I'm **** sure a different one.

Truly stunning there are UM fans who actually root for Turds or Holes.

If FSU loses, that means we're more likely to be within striking distance when we play than vice versa.

Rooting for them is pointless, it just makes you an FSU fan.

So roll tide! I hope they embarrass them on national TV.

but if you must pull for FSU..

you can pull for florida to win all their games too & then cheer for FSU against them

Bethune Cookman is the correct answer. Who gives a rat's *** about these schools? Let's worry about winning our games before we start wasting our time cheering for other school's that don't have a U on their helmets.
 
I don't know what makes me scratch my head more.
People who root for F$U to beat Alabama or people who actually think F$U will beat Alabama.
 
It hasn't all been great times for Bama lately.

You can't have a more crushing defeat than 2016 against Clemson.

In 2014 they lost a close one to OSU in the playoffs.

2013 their title hopes were dashed by a 110 yard missed FG return as time expired against their arch rivals.

Anyone rooting for FSU because of a perception that Bama needs to be knocked off their perch is an a-hole.
 
Have any of you actually seen Miami's soft *** schedule? Ya'll need to beat FSU, so you can keep the "We Back!" conversation alive, and get some respect. It won't even matter, because ya'll be pounding your chest about how great Da U is without even really considering the level of your competition. Go ahead on doe with the narrative...

we can control on of Fsu 's losses. We can't control Bamas.
 
I know I "should" want FSU to be no. 1 when we play them; but, my heart just can't pull for them to win.
