Don Shula coached based on the players he had, Lombardi ran power sweeps and expected EXECUTION from his players by being repetitive. Both coaches were legends, which type is best for the college game? Personally I would expect that Shula's style is best for college and talent evaluation is key. I am not comparing Richt to these legends or rehash all the complaints about him, but just wonder which would be more successful. I think Urban Meyer is more Lombardi like and Saban more Shula like, both win championships.
I ask because we've dissolved into a complaint site and it is two weeks before we play again. Can't take two weeks of complaints and hope some respond positively plus which type of coach fits Miami talent? (I mean just the offense, Diaz understands Miami defense). But come on people, lighten up and support our PLAYERS...we don't desert our team like FSU fans have, our defense played with one hand behind their backs, our offense play calling was suspect but Homer, DeeJay, (too many to list) and our defense played their hearts out and if our team visits this site they probably are disgusted with the fan response, especially those saying they will drop their tickets and other nonsense.
