Which beating did you enjoy most?

I mean honestly there are no wrong answers, lol. For me it was 1985 after all the years ND used this game as a "getaway" when visiting Miami. I know they pummeled ND 20-0 in '83 I believe in the OB, but the '85 beating was in front a former coach and a coach on his way out. A real thing of beauty on all accounts.

2017. Miami hadn’t been relevant in a decade and lost the few times they played Notre Dame. To come out and smack Notre Dame and Brian Kelly on primetime national TV was sheer joy. The game was over by halftime.

Kelly may be the coach I dislike the most.

In 1985, for me, the rivalry with Notre Dame was only because they were a big name program. I hadn’t yet developed the dislike I have for the program.

2017 was the closes to old times as I can remember. The hype, the atmosphere, highly ranked, prime time, gameday, I had my family in the building. I really thought that night was the turning point and rebirth of many more to come.

Yep. The crowd had a unified rage that had been seething for over a year. That night was everything you could hope for in a football game. Loser Lou pacing the sidelines in frustration through 3rd & 43 and THE drive. Beauty, brutality, vengeance and justice.
