Where's Cribby

I know Cribby is no Mario fan but how are you feeling?

I am still skeptical but at least we finished as strong as possible.
Mario is the guy I wanted hired good and bad . Nothing has changed on how I view him. To his credit he’s adjusted I just wish he’d do it a little sooner. Unlike last year this is a playoff team and would be criminal not letting them in. You want the teams that are playing their best ball in the playoff and that’s what we’re currently doing.

Mario takes a lot of **** and rightfully so, but since the SMU game we look like a much better coached team. Penalties way down and offense has diversified while defense has clamped down. Game management has improved. Who says he can’t improve? Hopefully he uses this season as a learning opportunity and won’t be so set in his ways next season.

He's definitely shown he's finally willing to adapt and do whatever works. I want Mario here for the long haul, but he's got to continue to evolve and show he'll adapt just like Saban did his last 10 years. NOT that I'm comparing them but Saban for a few years was stubborn and finally opened the offense.

Thing I respect about Mario compared to guys like Golden or Diaz is he’s never been afraid to admit a mistake. Willing to pull the plug and adjust when a hire doesn’t work instead of continuing to bang a square peg into a round hole. Will never be a gameday tactician, but he can certainly CEO a program

@Cribby was never anti-Mario (not speaking for him, but just from his posts). He always wrote that was a very good coach, but has some blind spots which consistently cost his teams 1-2 games per year. I’d say that is pretty accurate for how we all feel now.

But we are still happy to have him if we have even the slightest bit of sense in our heads.
