We have the 9th best odds right now on DK

Indiana +700
Texas +700
Ohio State +700
Notre Dame +700
Oregon +900
UGA +1100
LSU +1300
Texas Tech +1500
Miami +1800
A&M +1800
Alabama +2200

Nobody else is better than 35/1, with those teams being USC, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma. Michigan is 40/1 then Penn State and everyone else is 50/1 or longer.

Gators are 70/1
FSU is 120/1, same odds as Iowa, Washington, and South Carolina.
I keep thinking maybe this is before getting mensah but if not, we’re the best bet here by far

Im at the point where im thinking of reasons why we shouldn’t be #1

#2 team getting a big upgrade at qb? Seems like a no brainer. We will just have to see how much of a drop there is our the trenches this year

I’d probably go
1. Texas
2. Ohio St
3. Indiana
4. Miami
5. Notre Dame
6. Georgia
7. Texas Tech
8. Oregon
9.Ole Miss (with Chambliss)
10. BYU
Yes let’s rank Texas number 1 in the preseason so they can ultimately lose to Ohio State and probably another team of UF’s caliber. Now I will admit Arch started to look better towards the end of last season but I’m still not sold on Texas being the best team in the country after a 3 loss 2025 where they got embarrassed by Georgia, humiliated by Florida, and lost the opener at Ohio State. They were in plenty of dogfights with **** teams like Kentucky and Mississippi State too.

It should be
Ohio State
Indiana
Miami

Anyone else you wanna put 4-10. I’m tired of the SEC slurping hype. They’re clearly not what they used to be. 5 CFP teams, none in the final, and not a single win against out of conference teams in the CFP unless you want to count Ole Miss beating Tulane which I don’t. Fun fact, long ago Tulane was an SEC team. The SEC also had a losing record against the ACC this season. They’ve proven they’re overrated and anyone arguing otherwise is just an SEC slurper

Not sure why everyone thought Texas was dog**** given that they only lost three times (and yes, I know the Florida loss as real bad and the Georgia loss was ugly).

But Texas was breaking in a brand-new quarterback last year and by the end of the season, I would not have wanted to play them.

Now Arch has a year of experience and better weapons and should have a revamped offensive line.

I think Sark is a legit coach and I thought Muschamp was a good hire.

Happy to get bookmarked and be incredibly wrong about this.
Lmfao

Ya that loss was horrible

Ya ya know that second loss was also horrible

BUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTT

I am the last person to slurp the SEC and I only 1/2 care about Arch. Texas just spent more money in the transfer portal than all the North Carolina ACC schools combined. They literally now have two first team all conference running backs in their backfield. They signed a first round WR to pair with another first round WR. They ended up with a top 3 recruiting class and a top 3 portal class.

They are loaded for next year and Arch getting better only helps that.

They may nosedive again but that will be a reflection on Sark. NFL talent wise there are very few teams in the country that can compete with them this year.

I think once spring comes around and early fall camp people will sit down and spend a little more time analyzing this team. Once they do that we'll be top 5, if not top 3, going into next year.

I'll say this, I think the Orange Bowl is going to be one of the semi-final locations so getting the top seed (or at worst top 2) would be EXTREMELY advantageous. We would get a bye in the 1st round, would be able to select between Atlanta or New Orleans in the 2nd, and would get a home game in the 3rd round. That is such a departure from: College Station -> Dallas -> Tempe. Now it would be: bye week -> 1 hour flight -> home game.

I know playing at home for the national championship was a big deal but, honestly, playing at home in the semi-finals would probably be more of a home field advantage than the national championship was.
