First off, I apologize for hyping this product. It’s embarrassing. Instead of erasing the Peach Bowl memory, we told the world nothing has changed. We won’t be respected for a long time after this. And we shouldn’t be.

As hopeless as we all feel, there is an entire season to play. Many seasons that looked doomed after the first game turned out very well. What are the best (realistic) steps to get things moving in the right direction? No coach is getting fired mid-season, so I’ll leave that to the other threads.

My overarching thought is this: we let experience play over talent because we started with LSU. That didn’t work, and every inferior talent got exposed. Now is the time to trust and fast track the talent.

QB- This is an obvious one. Rosier is 47% over his last eight games. That is a sample size of more than half his starting career. You can’t win like that. He’s not even the most athletic QB on the team. If anything, he’s the least dynamic.

We will be the underdog against every good team we play as long as Malik is the starter. What kills me the most is the lack of urgency he plays with. He was lifeless.

Greentree is not effective for evaluating QBs. Rosier looked improved until the real games started. We have four light games coming up. Put all three young guys under the fire (with live tackling) and see who emerges. Mix in reps with the first team. Use this schedule and the new redshirt rule to find out who belongs under center.

OL- Richt has been privately telling people that this team will take the next step when Delone Scaife, Cleveland Reed and John Campbell are ready to play. Time to expedite that process. Our guards looked out of place last night. A team like Clemson will make them look worse.

We need to get our guys through growing pains early. I’m not saying to start all three, but give them meaningful reps starting immediately. Scaife at RT and Donaldson at G may ultimately be the move.

P/K- Same story as above. Open it up over the next four games. We need to find out who is ready to play in a live environment against FSU. We were playing with a handicap all night.

DB- Dean and Knowles looked like the same guys. They are older than the others but not any better mentally. Time to let the young bloods learn on the job.

LSU was the perfect first test for us because they are strong where we are weak. Physical, strong and able to neutralize our athletic advantages. We failed the test miserably. Now is the time to radically rethink our approach as we look towards FSU.

D, I always enjoy and appreciate your analysis and objectivity but there’s much more wrong than you point out above.

To be honest, Manny Diaz shouldn’t even be coaching in high school let alone defensive coordinator at the University or Miami. He is completely clueless and a total windbag. The blank stares in the third quarter and told me all I needed to know about him. I’d already had it with him last year so last night was no surprise to me.

If it had to happen, I am glad it happened like this(not against FSU or ACC play) and with this schedule. The schedule is perfect for answering a lot of questions before the real test starts. BUT, the big question is, will Richt seek those answers? If he doesn't, then he needs to go.

The problem isn't our players.
Troy beat LSU. At home!
Our problem starts at the top and spreads down from there

Couldn't have said it any better...
Get Rosier the **** out of there. I can live with a loss from someone who gives more effort. That guy is ready to run every play, waits till the last second to throw, over throws the reciever everytime and plays with no heart. He's not a leader in a leading position on the football field.

I agree! Nkosi, Cade, and Jarren all need to play next week. Barry reported that UM officials say Nkosi doesn’t do anything that wows you on Greentree. If that’s the case for him and Cade then we can’t be scared to start Jarren. Anybody (except Rosier) can make a slant route

Also I’ve seen posts about Richards going off on Rosier. When did that happen? Any video or links?

We have 2 full seasons of evidence to show us that Mark Richt does it his way no matter the outcome. So, the answer to your question most likely is no, he won’t seek those answers.

Why is Diaz getting so much heat? The defense didn't give up the pick 6. They held LSU to 6 pets in the second half. They hurt themselves with some untimely and questionable penalties for sure. But other than the fact that we are substituting LBers and secondary way too frequently (see 50 yd TD run) I thought they did ok on that side of the ball. If our offense can't score 30 a game who's fault is that?

We couldve called a walk on try out for a punter during the summer and I guarantee the first person that showed up would’ve been much better than Feagles. He wouldn’t start on a good middle school team right now as a punter.

I have bsd around at a park and punted a **** ball 40 yards just for fun... how in the fck did an entire coaching staff of individual “thinkers” not see the **** show with Feagles is an emergency situation needing to be addressed Efcknmediately is beyond me.

Feagles absolutely killed us last night. Our defense is predicated on pressure. When LSU started at **** near the 50 yard line the whole first half they felt zero pressure. And once they scored 2 in a row and were really able to lean on the run we were fuc^ed. And the one time feagles did his job we got not 1 but 2 penalties on 4th down. You can't make this stuff up.

Also, I can't stand the way replay works. How do they replay and review anything that goes our way and anytime a play goes the other teams way they don't even show the replay on the **** broadcast. Every time we have a questionable call the crowd lets you know because they groan collectively when they see the replay, did you hear that when the guy dropped the ball at the 1 on the play that set up the TD? No because they didn't show it on the jumbo tron. Not saying its remotely why we lost but this is just another frustrating part of the game last night
