Where to Tailgate at FSU?

There's a great spot behind Bank of America, across the street from the stadium, adjacent to McDonald's and a gas station. Easy access to ice and beer restocking!

To be honest, there's not really a bad spot. Usually when I go to tally I set up shop wherever I park and eventually end up walking all the way around the baseball field up to the store on the corner where the guy slings BBQ. If you've never been to a Miami FSU game in tally it's definitely fun. Most of the nole fans are pretty good until game time, but as the college age dudes get drunker there will definitely be a fair share acting the ***.

The place is a dump but on game day there is a lot to look at. See you there.

I have to agree with you. I always just set up wherever I park. FSU fans are not that bad mainly because the majority of them are scared of UM fans.

I generally try to find the guy with the green shirt and long reach, and tailgate there.

I've always tailgated at the basketball arena, the Donald Tucker center.

It's about a 1.5 mile walk from there to Doak Campbell. Basketball arena is on one edge of campus, Doak Campbell is on the other edge. It's awesome walking with a group of Canes right through campus. You pass right by the frats, and some dorms. Lots of **** talking from everyone. Every time I've parked there, it's been a lot (maybe 1/2) Canes fans parking there.

Yeah Living in Tallahassee for 7 years I've seen quite a lot of fans Tailgate at Donald Tucker. But there is a lot of nice places around stadium drive and West Gaines st. I already can't wait to drive up to Tally this year.

Lived in Tally for 10 years, and would have to say West Gaines St. Pensacola St., and College Ave. are the best spots for tailgating. All are pretty much right beside the stadium.

Another option is the alumni/Hurricane Club tailgate.

They had one last time in tally.

If you like this kind of thing it's a preplanned and ticketed event, and includes food, drinks, etc. if I recall it's around $40 per person. Not cheap and not for everyone, but it's just another option.

I don't believe they've announced it for this year yet

I agree, there really isn't a bad place to tailgate, but avoid Heritage Grove, that is where the major frat boys hang. The basketball stadium is usually where the most opposing team filled area, but you can't throw a stick and not hit free beer.

My bad memories from Trailerhasee (other than the losses and long drives) is the noise of the city. If you are in a hotel near the school, the noise is incessant thru the early hours...bring ear plugs.

By the way, if anyone is a car buff, there is a great car museum right off of the interstate.
