Where is Justin Scott?

I invented the internet too.

I saw him give terrible effort on 2 plays in a row towards the end of the game. Guessing maybe 7 or 5 minutes left. It was bad enough that I was screaming to get him off the field. I hope he was gassed because they just couldn't get him off the field because of tempo. I don't think it was. That effort wouldn't be exceptable under any other circumstances.

Scott was in for handful of snaps , that’s it
Has grand total 3 tackles for entire season
No sacks, no TFLosses
Has totally disappeared, I watched the game twice and he did nothing and was barely in the game
Blay has beaten him out, and Coach Lewis said he does not move at all(Blay that is)

He did make a terrific hustle play in ND game that caused fumble

He is an athletic big man and I don’t understand why he is not playing more(especially on passing downs)

Is a handful 5 or less?

I’ll say his snap count is likely over 20 vs usf.

Blay is 3 years older with 4 years of experience vs his 1.

Scott is the number 3 DT. He will continue to get more snaps as will Simpson&Russell.

Scott played the most snaps he's played all season yesterday...

He didn't play as well as he did vs Notre Lame, but his position as basically 3/4i-tech isn't really gonna show up on the stat sheet too crazy in this style of Defense because his assignments week to week will be based upon what the Offense is presenting.

For instance, against Noter they didn't really have a mobile QB, they ran a more traditional West Coast pocket Offense, so he's gonna have more freedom to get upfield & attack his gap assignments.

Against UTampa, they have a mobile QB & run an uptempo Offense that doesn't allow for more aggressive play from the interior. The job of the DT's against this particular opponent dictates to be more sound with gap integrity & allow for the Edges to collapse the pocket keeping a QB like Brown contained.

5 star stud DT supposedly played well in spring and fall camps and was gonna be our best DT.
Now he barely gets any snaps at all, is buried deep in back up role

Overated or poorly developed/ coached?

Just because a DT doesn’t have 9 sacks and 12 TFLs through three games doesn’t mean he’s not effective or isn’t playing well.

Do you see anybody running the ball on us? Any thoughts on why, perhaps, our run defense is stout?

He has had several big plays this season and he has still been a big disappointment. A lot more was expected of him. This one unfortunately isn't talent being wasted by the staff. I feel best about Blount of the younger 5*'s and none of them are where I hoped they would be right now. We need to keep the focus on the real problem, our abysmal offense
