Where is Artravious Jones?

Hope he sticks around as we lose 2 of our DT starters. We might have to go portal shoppping for a Blay like again. Need Simpson, Russell and Jones continue their progress. Blount might grow into a 290 pounder by next summer.
Don't think it's a "might." We potentially need multiple DTs in the portal, but I'm gonna just try to enjoy this season right now.

Kid is still very young and raw. Some of you guys are WAY too impatient when it comes to development, especially for OL/DL. Sometimes it takes a while.
Facts! The same thing happened with Pancake. Some posters wanted him to transfer before the season, and the kid is only a Redshirt Sophomore. The trenches mostly always take longer to develop, unless the player is an absolute freak like Francis.

Yall not learning from pancake. When they play at small school, doesn't matter their talent, it take sometime for them to be ready to compete at this level down after down. The trenches are grown men positions. There are still covid classes around, 6th year players who been in the weight room and growing grey hairs.

you mean guys who didn't play well from the jump, as freshmen, because they came from small high schools like:

Sean Taylor from Gulliver?
Christian Wilkins from Suffield?
Corey Clement from Glassboro?
Grayland Arnold from Kountze?
Allen Bailey from who the f*ck knows where?

Those kinds of guys?

Would love to see your receipts on Samson. You would have thrown him in the trash after last year!
Never said anything about him and wasn't say we should cut bait on Jones, but getting absolutely nothing out of a 4 star DT at a desperate position of need is disappointing whether you want to admit it or not.

Yea guys that arent complete physical freaks like.(pause)..

Sean Taylor and Allen ****** Bailey lol

Sean Taylor played at Killian as well by the way. Allen Bailey was built like a Gee Chee Warrior.
Christian Wilkins is just a freak...(no Pause)

Our very own Arthur Brown as well, transferred to K State, drafted 2nd round.

The underselling on Taylor nationally was bizarre. There were rumors of off field stuff but not enough to have him ignored by most big programs, which he was until very late in the game.

Bailey wasted a year cosplaying MLB. We let him try because that's the only way he would sign here.

Yep. +1000

In my life, I have seen three players so ludicrously and comically ignored, and so grossly discounted by the "experts" and "gurus" to the point it called into serious question whether they actually knew what sport it was they were watching, .... when Stevie Wonder could have told you after only 10 minutes that the guys would be ballers:

Sean Taylor
Ray Lewis
Leon Searcy

And if you consider Malachi Toney as a "3 Star" recruit, then he's on the watch list to be in that group.

How about Vilma? I remember seeing Miami's signees that year and I think he was listed as 6'0 200 Lbs and running a 5.0 forty.

He may have been more a case of just growing and developing as compared to being underrated.

OTOH Taylor looked like a full grown man in h.s.

Yea Vilma was way underrated by scouts and the fanbase. He was undersized.

Lots of guy were held out. Wait until we play a team with talent before worrying about where guys are.
I’m not worried. When Jones signed, he was hailed as a Balla. I know many expected to see him get some scratch.

If Daylen Russell can make plays, Jones will do just fine. Give him time. Moten didn’t do much until year 3. Is Jones a future starter, maybe but he will need to buy 💯 to get there.
