Where Does the Team Go From Here

I don’t believe A&M was a fluke. But your QB can not play a game like rhis..you still do what you need to do to win..but lose . This is tough. But I think this oline travels..and a game like this you gotta flush it
We'll see what team shows up next week. I agree that A&M wasn't a fluke, but we need the play calling from the A&M game to have a chance. 44 inside zones won't cut it.

Nowhere but the drain. Recalibrate and all those fancy words GTFOH. GT used their last timeout with 1:18 to go. It was 2nd down. That is 78 seconds by my calculation. I’m sure by everyone’s calculation as well. 2 plays is 80 seconds with a 40 second play clock. Not hard to figure out. It’s agregious to run 1 play in that situation let alone 2. Pink slip in the morning. This is beyond malpractice.

Some of y’all need to recalibrate your recalibration of this team..szn is not over.. but going 13 -0 is off the table. This isn’t a 6 win team..this is not a playoff team..& a coach decision lost this

This season is over.
Well, not exactly. If the kids can muster the courage to fight for wins in spite of the coaching, we have hope. Hopefully, the assistant coaches who had nothing to do with this abomination can get the kids to fight on.

Mario started his tenure here 5-7. We endured some signature losses last year and an unbelievably inept team.

It was attributed to first year bumps in the road.

Marios recruiting acumen kept the program on life support just enough to bring in some guys from the portal because those players saw a shot at a new coach building a team and culture from the ground up.

With new coordinators and an upgraded team at most positions, Miami started off hot going 4-0, including a signature win over a tough Texas A&M, where our OC pulled out some great plays.

This loss tonight was so bad because of so many reasons combined:

- 44 runs up the middle for 169 yards. We had nothing all game, but kept trying to grind it out. No creativity in the run game. One play on the first drive with a 2 RB set. That's it.

- TVD being off for whatever reason. Started the game off hitting Restrepo because he was always open. That stopped. He stood in the pocket like a statue and his throwing motion was odd on all his picks.

- INABLITY to spy the QB. Drop everyone into coverage and let the QB do what he can.

- REFUSAL to play press man.

- INABILITY to get to the QB from the DL.

- Secondary is clueless. James Williams had a nice pick, but him dropping back into the endzone instead of coming up to cover the RB was like Gurvan Hall avoiding the WR. DEFIES LOGIC.

I could go on, but all of that doesn't matter when the coaches ruin the game at the end.

- Mario lost the fan base tonight. He built up some good will after last years abomination but its now gone. The fans packed the Rock and got this performance.

- Mario lost the recruits tonight. Noone wants to play in this system, and for these coaches now. The recruits just got to watch the worst game of their lives, and then watched the coach sell out his team at the end.

- Mario lost his team tonight. There's no way guys like Lee and Chaney will continue to buy in to these clowns. This is a soul-stealing loss that feels like a betrayal of the son by the father.

How will this team respond? This has the potential to be a season killer with the long term consequences of losing starters to the portal, and losing coaches like Taylor to other programs. Personally, I think we now know everything we need to know about Mario, and we all know how the Mario experiment will end.
something you pointed out that I been thinking is we dont get enough sacks.

I don’t know Mario personally, but some men never come back from things like this. This will potentially haunt his entire legacy no matter what he accomplishes.

Hopefully he can put this behind him.

I don't know if it's by design to more-or-less keep the QB contained but we don't get to the QB.

Bain is a tweener. He's too slow to be a great end and too small to be a great tackle.

Kelly is too small. Tackles can't beat doubles. No Mesidor.

They stop the run pretty well but don't get home.
