Where Did Mullins transfer to?

Man. Alabama State. Sounds like a place you end up if things don't work out in your career pursuits at The Waffle House. They at least have a good MBA program?

MBA? Yep. But need work experience to get in and Waffle House Asst. Mgr. qualifies.

Baseball especially, had many friends play at FAMU...and also received .minority scholarships.
The program received some bad press but eventually passed.

I remember when FAMU integrated it's football team. 1968. Rufus "Rap" Brown. That was the nickname given him by the team.

I had a former colleague whose nephew was FAMU's kicker. He was Italian.

Grambling's first white player was a ****** QB from NY, as I recall. I think they made a TV movie about it.

Kicking myself for leaving him out.
Just too many to name.
The MEAC and SWAC were sending ballers to the NFL like crazy.
Lots of good HBC players that were hall of famers and great players in the pros. The Steelers of the 70s raided the HBCs for talent and won 4 super bowls off the talent they plucked from those schools.

They've produced what i consider the two best players at their position in NFL history (Sweetness & Jerry) and also have the GOAT (Jerry). Plus growing up i used to love to watch the battle of the bands half time show.

And for those that don't think Sweetness is the greatest RB of all time you better only have JB in front of him because no one else compares

Mullins was young and being influenced by the wrong noise in his ear... I know he can get his shxt together with time and maturity.

But he was acting real soft last season feeling the pressure with Thomas and Harley on the team
