Where are they now? Ex-players 2022 stats

Got bored and decided to check on some of the players who transferred out.
Bizarre what has happened to some of these kids. Seems like they can't even stiff it at low levels. Mind boggling and bizarre, given most of these guys who left were 4 star recruits (or better).

This team was supposedly loaded with blue chip players.

Jarren Williams went from Miami to Garden City C.C. to USF to Alabama A&M. Can't seem to sniff a thing. IDK what happened to him. He's out here posting crazy stuff on twitter lol...
What is going on with this? What is your take as to why this is happening? Is Miami killing players? Are a lot of these guys getting recruiting ranking bumps because they played in South Florida? Jarren Wiliams, Payton, Pope were all borderline 5 stars. Lingard was a 5 star.

Feel free to add stats for any players that I forgot.

Williams retired from football before the season started.

The kid who transferred to Oregon, DJ Johnson was the biggest loss. Hard to think of others that have killed it.

Jaelen Phillips
Deriq King
Charleston Rambo
Jarrid Williams
Bubba Bolden
KJ Osborne
Tyrique Stevenson
Frank Ladson
Ahkeem Mesidor
Darrell Jackson
Henry Parrish

Most of these guys come right in and start or become our best players if we are talking about roster strength, recruiting and developing.

It can be argued that miami best players the last few years have been portal guys.. We were on it early so I could imagine with higher competition from top teams will make it harder (big bank take lil bank) but we have benefited from portal
I don't disagree. KJ Osborn. Jaelen Phillips. Roche. Tyrique. Akheem this year. We've certainly had some hits but by and large, you're just plucking a player here and there to fill a hole. That's why I'm scratching my head when I hear about "40 new players on the roster" next year because the idea of 10-15 transfers to me seems odd, although I do think that the transfer portal will become closer and closer to free agency in this new era.

he seemed to try to nd the portal spit him back in and he was back at JSU.

The south florida thing is funny considering only 2 listed were from s.fla and 1 in Wiggins was starting at Louisville got injured...and Pope got caught up in the JSU hype and went there and i think was injured but JSU has some nice wrs as well...kid should have transferred else where. The other kids listed arent from s.fla
Sorry I didn't mean this specific list being players from S. Fla. I'm just curious as to the phenomena that is seemingly highly rated blue chips coming here and doing nothing. I thought it was our coaching and development. But then you have a lot of them leaving to other programs and not doing much either?
This specific list was just off the top of my head of players I remembered that transferred.

I'm just wondering what is going on. A lot of people were always making fun of the recruiting ranking drop players get when they commit to miami. This kinda goes hand in hand with that.

We've had some head scratchers. Guys like Gurvan Hall, who Saban allegedly wanted, etc.

Wondererd why he flamed out at JSU. My initial take is that his (lack of) work ethic did not mesh well with PRime.

This makes sense as the portal is more often used to get established players at positions of need.

Plug and play types 1st. Then depth/injury insurance types. Developmental types are less common.

Wait until you see next years transfers reflect the same.

Everyone thinks we're so talented but the reality is we've evaluated & developed poorly. Middle of the road ACC talent, at best.
evals have been bad , player development worse.....
