When Will People Learn?

Than those 3?

Yes

Steed and Jennings are both players coming off major injuries, imagine still thinking they’re gifted after that when they were never that good

Steed was ranked 600 by 247

Jennings 697

Flagg is a 5”10 LB ranked 830 by 247

So yes NC State has more gifted LBs than all 3

Thanks for proving my point
no need to beat a dead horse.

Beat up on Diaz, admin etc. What’s the point of continuing to trash miami players every day on here?
Steed pre-injury and post injury isn’t same player.
Flagg seems to be one of the few under Diaz who is improving

Can't get rid of the weed if you don't remove the root. Start with Blake James.

Nope.

Start with the board of trustees that continues to back, defend and support Blake James. They are the reason he is still here—citing his fundraising prowess—and they like a puppet they can push around.

They'll fire this guy and promote Jenn Strawley, at this rate—need to be woke with a female AD at The U!

Maybe, maybe not—but they'll still bring in another puppet as this is a job for a lackey, or at best someone using UM as a stepping stone to a better gig, like the last two—Kirby Hocutt and Shawn Eichorst, who left for Texas Tech and Nebraska, respectively.

Just watching Rohan Marley talk UM football today. He said these kids aren't hungry. He wasn't even recruited out of high school but knew he would play at the U. It's called the "Lions Law" or whatever the fick he meant.

That is my favorite cane of all time. What was it on, I'd love to see it.

Why did Hall get worse while Jaquan and Redwine got better?

Why was Willis an animal here yet Ford and Miller have been duds?

Why did Brevin get better and Mallory regress

Why did Shaq/Pink always make plays and Mccloud had to be changed to a different position?

Ever think that some of the guys who we think are good coming out of HS maybe just aren’t?

There’s a difference between a 4* who’s ranked 280 and a 4* ranked 56 even though both players are considered blue chip players

We’ve been awful at key positions lately….offensive line and DT, now check out the recruiting rankings

Our highest rated DT the past 4 years has been Willis who shockingly put up monster numbers. Silva is the next highest and he’s had a decent career but was always limited athletically

Check out our offensive line recruiting and don’t be shocked at our results. The only high recruit we’ve had is Donaldson and he ate himself away unfortunately.

You think Nick Saban would turn Flagg, Steed, and Jennings into anything special?
No one is asking for special, just being able to attack at correct angles and tackle. Being coached to do their job competently isn’t too much too ask, or something out of the ordinary. Plenty of teams across the nation with far less talent do so on a weekly basis.

Football is really **** simple once you cut through all the endless bull****. Especially college football.

Does the first man to the ball make the tackle?
Can your defense communicate and fit the run?
Does the running back fall forward when he’s tackled?
Can your o-line beat the man in front of them?
Do your WR catch everything that hits their hands?
Does your quarterback make the right reads quickly and get the ball out accurately and on time?
Can you eliminate blown coverages?

If you’re elite at those things, you can win 10 games and the ACC with only 3-star players. If you can recruit elite talent on top of that, which Miami always can, then you’ll contend every year

Yet Hall, Mallory, McCloud, Ivey, Jennings, Carter etc always play. They don't miss a minute of playing time.

Here’s our most successful players in recent yrs:
-Rousseau
-Phillips
-Willis
-Shaq
-Johnson
-Redwine
-Burns
-Colbert(son)
-Elder

With the exception of Shaq, who did NOT progress after his freshman yr, all of the other players have something in common; they played in Diaz system for 2 yrs or less. No player that played for Diaz 3 yrs or more improved at all. Let’s not be a revisionist of history regarding Shaq; he was much maligned here to the point his pops stopped posting here.

That’s not a coincidence.

Go look at all the defensive recruits that have come through & stayed from 2016 til present. Go look at the projected draft grades for Garvin Freshman yr & how he slid. Same w/ Jackson. Same w/ Bandy. The guys ain’t getting better as time goes, dog. Most regressed.

Lots of fans on here fancy themselves as evaluators I guess based on their Madden skills. It's still the players who have to play the game with horrible or great coaches.

Miami lost to FIU....let me say that again, Miami lost to FIU. They should have been able to take the field without a HC and beat that team. Coaching is only part of it; you haven't been paying attention if you think someone walks in and it turns around overnight that door has been opened and closed going on 5 times now. There's plenty else wrong: the culture, how, who, and where they recruit, S&C, development, accountability, etc.

Jaquan and Redwine played 3 years for Manny 2016, 2017, 2018

Ross was found by Manny and he was going to magically suck if he played his third season

Willis was with Manny for 3 seasons, 2016, 2017, 2018

Burns never played for Manny

Phillips was developed here…unless his 3 games at UCLA and quitting there made him the player he was

Shaq went from All ACC third team, to second team, to first team but ok he sucked and never got better

Manny’s problems have been CB/LB recruiting and lack of talent at those positions

1. The Safeties for the 2016 team was J Rock & Jenkins, not Johnson & Redwine. Again, they played for Diaz in 2017 & 18, meaning that’s when they started.

2. Did Rousseau play here for more than 1 yr? Yay or Nay?

3. You r right, how dare I give Manny credit for Burns.

4. Did Phillips play here for more than 1 yr? YAY OR NAY?

5. Was Shaq maligned here b/c of his slow footed nature & lack of explosion. Yay or Nay?

Like u don’t have to rush to defense every SINGLE time, dog. Nothing I said was fraudulent, except my mistake on Burns.

Like I said every player who played from 2016 - til now, “MOST”, regressed. I’m actually giving Shaq credit for staying consistent, he just never PROGRESSED, hence, he was advised to come back for his Sr by NFL scouts.

P.S - I literally said w/ the exception of Shaq. Lol. Shows how u have to reach to defend.

Many players come in their 1st year here and look good or even great, for example Shaq, Pinckney, McCloud, Couch, Harrison-Hunte, Bolden, Brooks, Jeff Thomas, etc., and then regress each year afterwards.

It’s pretty telling that a guy like D.J. Johnson is making plays at Oregon at any position that they put him in, and he couldn’t sniff the field here.

It’s time to stop blaming the players, and start blaming the men that are paid handsomely to put them in positions to succeed.

When you have a HC corch that runs his program that doesn’t even practice with live tackling (which is basic fundamentals), how then can anyone expect for guys like Gurvan Hall (who was a killer in high school) to not horribly regress?

At the end of the day, it falls on the HC. There are many teams around the nation with way inferior talent kicking *** every week because they get the most out of their players, and game plan to their players’ strengths. Danny Miaz and crew do exactly the opposite.

If Manolo is not terminated, next season most of these young ballers are likely to regress, and then most of you guys calling the veterans jags will do the same to these kids that are now flashing.

It’s time to cut off the head of the snake. Strawley, Flake, Manolo and the rest of the cancerous athletics department tards gotta go.

And everybody said AMEN.

Those guys were developed in Golden and Richt’s system. Richt had a little left in the tank and it showed in our best consecutive seasons in forever. As his health declined so did the development.

These guys were developed under sick Richt and Manny. Totally different situations.

The dudes who had time under Richt fared better. That said, yes we need better scouting to go along w development.
