When was the last time that we had a full roster?

All schools have full rosters, you just give out scholarships to walk-ons to get to 85.

You need to be at 85 scholarships to take advantage of the replacement rule under the Initial Counter provisions.

Obviously, that's not "85 recruited players", but almost nobody hits that mark, and certainly not every year.
This is correct. There's almost always a few extra scholarships and those usually get awarded to senior walk-ons.

Nobody has 85 "actual scholarship players".

We are at 81 now not including walk-ons getting rides. Don't fool yourself if you think we are at 85 as August will see 3-5 more departures. If Manny and Co can sign a full class in 2020 then we will be at 85. We have no counters to use to take more Portal Kids for '19 and we have 25 counters for 2020 with around 18 spots available (14 seniors + 4 handed to walk-ons in '19).

Not sure - but pretty sure it was just AFTER the Norman Conquest - and that was in 1066.

I think.

I think is was slightly before when Harold has just won an earlier battle. We had several players quit because the were too tired for the back to back battles. If only Butch had been coach we would have beaten William and his pretend Frenchmen even short handed.
