When to Pull the TRIGGER on AL

Problem is you also need to fire the current AD, pick a new AD and allow the new AD to lead the coaching search. There is very little confidence that the current AD can fire and lead a critical coaching search. Gone are the days of a great AD like Sam Jankovich... that said, common sense would tell a good administrator to make the cut now - cut your losses and look forward to a better future. Fire him in season. This sets the tone for the players. Allow Coley to run the team for the remainder and have him try to keep recruits in the fold until a new (Butch!) coach is named.

I would also make Coley the interim! We all know that Butch wants the job, and is available tomorrow . Give him a fiver year contract, he would assemble a great staff, lock down south Florida recruiting, and load up the team with NFL talent. Miami would dominate the college world within 3 years.

Miami with a competent coach dominates next year. Kaaya is back and the whole offense is back. Talent is already there

The buyout was the issue last season correct? And drops after Jan 1 2016 right? What makes any of you think if that was truly the reason why, that they would fire him anytime before Jan 1 2016? The BOT and admin don't give a **** about winning anymore, it's about the money, always has been here.

If AD has no decision re football, he should be replaced with an AD that DOES.
Blake is in over his head.
Hire a new guy NOW that will have say on football decisions. This will make clear that football changes will come and he can start the search.

Should have been done already. If you're worried about "the kids" they're only chance of doing anything good this year is under an interim HC. The banners would stop and there would be hopefulness around the program again. The atmosphere would improve exponentially.

Once the plug is pulled on Frauden, the next hire will be the most important hire because of they ***** this one up and hire another loser coach the football program will be officially dead. Right now the it is on life support and ready to die.

Why would it be "officially dead?" The talent is still all around campus. Is there really a difference between sucking for 10 years and sucking for 15? This is not the time to be scared to make a bold change.

Yes their is talent in south Florida but who in their right mind will come to a program that flat out sucks. Frauden has and is the cloud he talks about everyday.

The day he is fired I wil be calling UM to renew my tixs.

A competent AD would be setting up a plan right now and targeting the next head coach, knowing that the current guy will be fired in the near future. I bet this AD is not even thinking about the future of the program.

I have lost all faith in the administration. He should have been fired after last season at the LATEST. I have no faith he will be fired this season. I don't think the administration gives any *****.

Someone who is confident that they can take some of the best talent in the country and not suck. The bar is really low right now. If they merely make an appearance in the ACC championship, they will be revered. I think it's actually an attractive job at this point and, if the next coach fails, it will still be so in 5 years. Trepidation is the enemy right now. Someone needs to step up and be decisive. Name an interim coach on this staff (don't care if it is Coley, Kehoe, Melvin, or even Ice), now, wish them good luck vs FSU, and start the search immediately.

I think that banners and empty seats at every game could change that view. They are not going to want the weekly embarrassment. It's on ESPN weekly. Looks bad for the people in charge

Thank you so much for the input and I believe like many of you think just like me. Al has lost all crediblity, confidence, and faith with the fans. With losses to FSU, VT, and Clemson he needs to be fired ASAP to start the search and save our recruting season. Waiting to the end of the season is not the right thing to do but this adminstration seems to lack a sense of urgency. With that being said I'm hoping the new Prez and BOT pulls the trigger on Al and Blake at mid season. The FSU game could get very ugly and I do believe Kaaya needs to take out a life insurance this week. LOL

He should have been fired last January. I can't believe that anyone really expected Folden to achieve even moderate success this year. If they didn't pull the trigger last January, then they won't do it mid-season. They should fire him ASAP. 7 or 8 losses this year will not convince recruits to stick with UM. Recruits must know that Folden is gone at the end of the year. An interim coach will also find recruiting difficult. Except for Butch, Tressel, or another quality coach out of the game, I don't see a permanent replacement coming in at mid-season. Sad truth is that UM is screwed for the next couple years. Thank-you Folden, Flake, and the BOT.
