When to Pull the TRIGGER on AL

I am very curious to hear from all of you about your ideas and perspective if we continue to lose. There are a collection of young people following a supposedly leader that isn't productive, so when do you fire this person? Seems to me after 4 1/2 years and if you continually see the same things with NO positive movement you then have to rearrange the landscape. UM is in a tough spot because if you fire Al midseason then Dorito will most likely pack it in and Coley is simply AT BEST a high school coach. So where will the leadership as a head coach come from ? Could it be ICE for several games? Al is just NOT getting it done and needs to go. If you fire him mid season then maybe a new culture will appear and we can move forward to hire a competent, professional, and proven head coach. This will be a great sign for the new recruits and the current team. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Why hasn't it been done already? The new HS coach needs time to get the team ready for Florida State.
 
If this Cincy loss is the beginning of a 3/4 game skid then I can see Golden being tossed out after the Duke game.
 
I see 4 straight loses which puts them at 3 - 5. The season is over so just pull the plug on Frauden and Doritos. It won't matter who the interim coach is, now the admin and the BOT need to focus on the next coach and put out feelers on who is interested in coming here. And target a up and coming coach from college or pro. The school needs to bring in JJ, and some former players like Alonzo Highsmith and get their input in the new hire.
 
The quicker you fire him, the quicker you can begin the search for another coach. The Turds fired Zook in mid season and went out and landed Meyer before anyone else could.
 
Honestly if he gets blown out by Fsu let's say over 20 points and cook rushes for 250 plus I don't see how he makes it

Golden is done here, regardless of what happens on the field. If I had to guess, he won't make it past Nov. there's smoke that the BOT is at work exploring all options. For many reason, they have to act sooner rather than later. The situation within the team has to be toxic, and would not be surprised if this team flat out quits.
 
Problem is you also need to fire the current AD, pick a new AD and allow the new AD to lead the coaching search. There is very little confidence that the current AD can fire and lead a critical coaching search. Gone are the days of a great AD like Sam Jankovich... that said, common sense would tell a good administrator to make the cut now - cut your losses and look forward to a better future. Fire him in season. This sets the tone for the players. Allow Coley to run the team for the remainder and have him try to keep recruits in the fold until a new (Butch!) coach is named.
 
I could be gravely mistaken, but I don't think Blake James has much, if any control over football. He most certainly does in all the other sports, however I believe the BOT decides on the football coach. So if my theory is correct, all the anger and fury needs to directed toward the BOT! Banners flying calling out the BOT is what should be next! A couple of planes would be great!

Also, stop going to the **** games!

I would also make Coley the interim! We all know that Butch wants the job, and is available tomorrow . Give him a fiver year contract, he would assemble a great staff,lock down south Florida recruiting, and load up the team with NFL talent. Miami would dominate the college world within 3 years.

Why would it be "officially dead?" The talent is still all around campus. Is there really a difference between sucking for 10 years and sucking for 15? This is not the time to be scared to make a bold change.

I would have fired him last year. But, I think it will be after we are eliminated from the Coastal race.
 
If fsu kills us.... maybe next wk but odds are not till after duke beats our sh*t in.

The sooner he's gone and a new hire is made the better for recruiting.
