The Top national overall recruit has been complete a bust at the college level??...not I can remember dating back to 2010..that said fellas we have all been sleeping on the impact Jaelon Phillips will have in this defense..I’m talking about him putting up monster production off the edge kid was the number 1 national recruit at a Premium position..other than Greg, physically he our best player..I’m extremely excited to see him in this defense and by the midway of the season if he’s hitting anywhere close to his potential and GR and Roche don’t miss a beat we might be looking at the best DLine rotation in the country

I would.like to see the NY DT take the next step this year. I think they could be special based on their athleticism as well as Miller.

I dont share the same enthusiasm for Nesta/Ford. Hope they will

If Phillip is back 100% .. wash out

Peyton Manning Colts. That's our MO this year if we are going to have success. We need to get out to early leads and score on the majority of our possessions. If we can do that, our defense is built to feast.

I think Phillips is a unique case because he had concussions and an injury. I think it’s totally within reason to expect him to do very well for us if healthy.

I’m actually more excited about our defense tbh.
But I’ve had that feeling about our offense the past 3 years.
We all see a lot of problems to deal with on paper.
I mean imagine Rousseau and Phillips on the same side. Just like Jordan and Mallory supposed to be.
That sht just ain’t fair. But we find ways to fail every **** year.

I thought Ford played well last year. He isn't Warren Sapp but stout against the run and got some push. Nesta is coming into year 3 so I am hoping for a leap from him and Miller.

We have a dude on our roster who comes **** close to fitting that description.

Speedy Noil was a top 10 recruit in 2014 if I recall correctly. How many people remember the name today?

Rashan Gary had 9 career sacks in college. He wasn't a complete bust but he didn't really do a whole lot. He will be a complete bust in the NFL though.

We might see one soon cause Bryan Bresee is the most overrated recruit I've ever seen. Stiff, slow, inflexible, unexplosive athlete who's simply bigger and stronger than the competition. He looks like a poor man's Mt. Cody.

I think Miller takes one of the starting spots

I forgot about him for a minute. He is a huge wildcard with lottery winning type upside. Him & Greg could (probably won't) be two of the top 5 DE's in all of College Football. Guys like that will really help our CB's look much better.
