When is Fall Camp? What's 2-deep look like?

Frank Ladson hasn’t played HS ball in 4 years. Please stop bringing that up. It sounds like Tate Martell all over again.

Of course we all want Ladson to step into that X receiver role. But we aint crowning him for being tall and fast.

He got all August to prove it to those that matters. I hope he does.

I was excited about Ladson but keep hearing his hands are (still) a problem. Can't play WR if you can't catch the ball.

Stoked at seeing El's Colbie Young prediction. You can't watch his film & not get excited about his potential. Yeah, he was dominating against JUCO secondaries, but with that size, hops, & ball skills, I don't think it's gonna make too much of a difference...he's gonna get his.
 
On defense it will be interesting to see the week-to-week snap counts for certain guys. I get the sense that depending on the opponent and game plan, some guys will play a good number of snaps one week, and not very many the next. Thats the thing about having some real depth and the ability to be versatile in your looks.

Regardless I think the backups are good enough athletically to at least upgrade all the special team coverage units. Last season, they simply had too many guys who weren't fast enough going downfield....

I agree but i think it’s ideal to focus on snap count come *** to mouth and conference play. I think the first 2 games are open auditions for those camp battles.

Luke, absolutely, this is a two-game pre-season heading into College Station

I expect EVERYONE to get snaps vs Beth CookMeAMeal, and then to solidify the two-deep a bit more vs So Miss.

But I do feel strongly that this is a deeper unit on defense than last season, regardless
