When did you know you would be a cane for life?

Had to be around '84-'85. Like many of you i cried the morning after the Penn St fiesta bowl when my mom told me my Canes lost. I remember the good and the bad from the last 30 years with our team. Favorite memory was watching Wide Right I at Immokalee HS waiting to play a pop warner game. We were watching on a mini TV with my teammates dad, they were Canes too, and when it sailed wide me and his son ran around the field on a victory lap.

Wants some more Canes stuff ?

Put in you search engine "Jack Harding" U head coach hall of fame , I was raised with his grand sons and daughters next store neighbors the "Hoffman's". I was surly Blessed to be surrounded with Canes history from birth , I was a Cane actually before I knew it but really got into it 4th grade.

That's why my ankle injury at Southwest High School vs Gables Thanksgiving day game was so devastating even to this day it haunts me not able to play at the U with offer in hand with my friends Chickillos , Steve Alvers , Jamie Boone and many others.

Got to stop to emotional.

First watched them on tv at my uncle cookout when I was 6 years in 2001. Family was rooting for them to lose and I didn’t understand why (FSU and gamecocks fans). Fell in love with them while watching and never turned by back. Diehard still to this day even threw the Golden and D’NO years! I also hated Florida for some reason until I got older and realized they were a rival. I guess cane blood would not let me root for a scumbag of a team!

Watched The first NC against Nebraska with dad at the age of 5. I remember it in detail how passionate my old man was and how incredible it felt when he picked me up after clock hit zero in celebration. Ever since I have been a diehard cane and always will be. What a blessing to have that memory of my old man.
