When can these lousy *** phans enter a portal.

In the last 16 years we've had 5 coaches, all of them have failed. As for players, its the biggest mystery. Is it coaching? Sure, but when are our players gonna be held accountable? When Clemson routed Bama in the Natty, was it Saban or was it Lawrence, Etienne, Ross, and Higgins taking over and making Bama look stupid? How many games did Butch win because our players took it personal? 90's and 80's same thing, we had players that refused to lose. Give me a team made up of dudes who hate to lose and I'll show you a team who you don't want to play.

So what we almost lost to a CMU team that 1-11 the year before & had a first year coach, so what we lost to a Va Tech team that was blown out the week before to Duke & started a QB that had NEVER started a game in his career before, so what we lost to a UNC team with a TF QB & a coach that had taken a 6 year hiatus from college football, so what we lost to a 1-5 GTech team with a first year HC & a QB who was a 44% passer...

Everyone is "mad" about it—but there's a difference between those who want to fire everyone every year, with some misguided opinion about what they think this program really looks like to the outside world—clowns talking about giving Urban Meyer a blank check or backing up the Brinks truck for whoever is the flavor-of the-year up and comer—with no reality in regards to the type of money admin and alum pump through athletic departments at big time state schools.

Fact is college football is a full blown big money sport and Miami doesn't have the fan support / alum writing checks to help keep up with the Joneses. Just dudes yelling on message boards, threatening to not go to games or fly banners as some protest.

Fact remains, when most of your fan base didn't go to the school—they're not as invested as alum that did and writes fat checks to make changes. Miami fans treat the Canes like a pro team; checking out, not going to games / buying season tickets when things get bag, less merch — whereas alum of big time programs keep writing checks as they have a vested interest in the university they went to and treat the alum thing as bigger than just sports.

The fact so many cannot come to terms with this and just make it about the admin being cheap, or dumb, or egotistical or delusional—it's the pot calling the kettle black.

Unfortunately, its hard to gage that edge. Coaches love a kid with a chip on his shoulder, but how do you decipher edge with temperament... competitive spirit from a 4.9 forty or 4.4 from a kid with a squeaky clean resume'. Clearly changing coaches every 3 to 4 years only resets the process. You are either an elite coach or you need to find every diamond in the rough like Butch did. Its not that easy to perfect both.

Exactly. This phan base thinks flying a banner before a game to disrespect the coach or a.d in some way helps. It doesn't. It never has and never will. Instead of flying some bull**** banner make a donation to football that's what fans that support their team do.

The reason why you guys are always so hard after players is because you refuse to look at the coaches.

Players don't coach or recruit themselves, they don't call plays & they don't control the direction of the program.

They're in control of what they do on a day to day basis, not the game plan or the recruiting strategy of the program... Yall want to blame them for 20 years of ineptitude & it doesn't add up.

The people in charge always take the most blame, you're blaming employees for the CEO's failures.

This team is fragile. Doesn't have the experience or maturity to beat a #20 rank Virginia team then play a 1-5 team and bring it. Once the team has depth and legit competition the bull**** will stop.
