What's with all the dodgeball and ice cream puns?

The one that mystifies me is the extra 'r' that gets put into things like 'corching,' 'porsters,' 'Gorlden,' etc.
Why does that mystify you?

Because it obviously started somewhere, and I didn't know where. Now somebody has given me an explanation, and even if it's not true, it'll feel like I have some idea what's going on. I feel much better now.

It is true. It came from Corrine Brown's speech where she praised "Corch Irvin Meyers" and said "Go Gaytah" after they won the MNC. From "Corch", was born "porster", and from there a whole new lexicon of "r" words denoting something stupid, incompetent, or worthy of ridicule.

The lexicon I've acquired over the years that I cant share with people in my day-to-day lives.

You also could have googled corch and it shows up first on urban dictionary.
