What's up with Jelani Hamilton

Ah, such wonderful and knowledgeable fans we have. He was a highly regarded recruit out of STA and sustained a serious knee injury his senior year. Some guys come back from those injuries and never miss a beat but sometimes they just never get back that something that made them special. It appears Jelani may turn out to be one of those guys.

I'm a big fan of STA in general with regards to us recruiting there, but he might be one of those guys that got a little too much benefit of the doubt from playing around good players on a good defense, having the right "look", and wearing that jersey. Even in HS folks talked about his build and untapped frame more than his play, IIRC. Not saying he didnt' make ANY plays, obviously he's a gifted athlete to some degree, but the 4* status was probably a pretty big reach, it appears.

Coaches have been a bust up to this point. Lets change that variable before we go bashing these kids. It aint like they are playing under a ****** group of HOF coaches. Thes ****** idiots would underachieve coaching an intramural red light-green light tournament

Corching aside, Hamilton has been a bust. True freshmen are getting more burn than him.

Injuries are part of the game.

Plenty of players currently on the team have dealt with serious injuries and have come back to make an impact. Hamilton has impacted the population of ice cream sammiches, but that's it.

He has been a bust up to this point.
 
Its odd how far he is fallng, considering when he was in High School, Kirk Herbstreet and crew were basically saying him keeping his commitment to UM would be the catalyst for the (then) ELITE 2012 recruiting class, and if he would have backed out, coupled with sanctions looming, we would be staring at a 5 year bleak period, Oh wait....

Yah, dude. You were the only guy who knew JH had a knee injury in high school.

you didn't specify which of those guys it appears he is going to turn out to be
