**Navaughn Donaldson suffered a nasty ankle injury which will keep him out of Saturday’s game in all likelihood. Freshman Corey Gaynor has been told he will start this weekend, a source said. Gaynor was on the field for Miami’s game-winning drive against FSU and has a ton of people within the program excited about his future. We mentioned Gaynor all fall camp as the 6th man in the offensive line rotation, and now is his chance for even more playing time, although he has seen action in every game thus far.

Looks like we should be more physical on the line moving forward. Got some big mean dudes coming.

This is the key to 2018.

Not a Corey Gaynor fan. He doesn't have the footwork of a quality P5 starting OL and never will. The stuff he did in HS - ragdolling smaller defenders with blatant holds to rack up his "pancake" count - isn't gonna translate to this level. That one snap when he was in for Darling was a total backbreaking drivekiller.

I'm pretty sure he was pulled this game for Mahoney

Expecting a lot from a true fr ol is silly. Even ND had big struggles and he was a top 5-10 ol. There's exceptions but ol and dl are normally for either grown men , you've gotta to be a very special Fr to dominate.
