What's the one thing you want to see tonight besides a win?

defense - good linebacker play. I'm ok with the dline and the back 4. This defense relies on the linebackers making plays in space. don't want to see them lost in space again, looking at you dorito.

offense - the talent is there, even with a true frosh qb. want to see coach coley put together a creative game plan that gets the playmakers the ball in space. if i go more than 3 consecutive plays where i predict the coming play i'm gonna lose my ****. and probably a t.v. remote. or two.

sadly, i have more faith in dorito putting together a good game plan than coley the recruiter.

go canes

i think you are the only one with that faith in dorito vs coley but more power to you

A team that looks like it isn't sleep walking. The bowl game was a red flag. Let's see a new team that has an attitude.

I want to see an actual pass rush
Our O-line protect our quarterback
A component that can make game day adjustments

And for Gods sake a win on a national stage and Al saying we expect
To win and make impacts (confidence)

Toughness, mentally and physically on both sides of the ball. Sideline to sideline speed on defense, **** Butkus tackling, hit to maim.

Absolute takeover by Duke, because we know he can. 200 yards on the ground at least one receiving touchdown and at least one kick return opportunity. Get those Heisman wheels rolling.

I know this is really unrealistic...but if I could have whatever I wished for, this the type of halftime show I would hope for...

Obviously, a W. Offensively- I'd like to see our offensive line keep Kaaya upright for the majority of the night. Id also like to see them open some running lanes for Duke, Gus, Yearby etc. Defensively- I want to see pressure on the QB, excellent tackling and I want all completions to be contested. No receivers running free. Overall, I just want this team to embrace this challenge and play with an edge we have been missing in past. Focused aggression.

On offense Duke on the slot and Yearby taking it to the house.

On Defense ANYBODY not name Perryman laying the wood consistently.

My faith in humanity (and message boards) has been partially restored by the responses here lol.

(even if it now goes south as most threads do)

**** excited for tonight

I want to see Kaaya not look like a frosh. and i want to see a stingy hard hitting D.

A team that shows good fundamentals and gives a ton of effort. Fundamentals have been lacking for a very long time now.

It would also be nice seeing people be ready for plays rather than reacting to them. Fans always say we don't look that fast out there, but having to play catch down after down will do that to any team.

Plain and simple and agreeing with most of the responses to this thread. A real first class competitive DEFENSE.

I wouldn't mind being up by 20 points at half time, their quarterback on a gurney with 3 broken ribs (unintentional of course, just hard hitting), and our O with 272 yards in total offense so far, and our D with a pick and a fumble recovery.

After all 14 members of the Band of the Hour take the field, it makes a circle around the cardinal logo at midfield, where we drag out Nevin Shapiro, nail his balls to a (portable, obviously) tree stump, and push him over backwards.

Our two biggest weaknesses improved upon
1. 3rd down def.
2. 3rd down offense.
We got killed on TOP last year and is the major factor in how bad the defense was. combined with our lack of depth, was a deadly combination.
