After a blowout & the game in hand a vicious hit on one of those cats that was talking crap last yr... Not a dirty hit but a hardass hit... A lil late & 15 yards is fine... Maybe stomping on that logo midfield after the game ha

and dammit i want to see a defense actually show up in a cane uni!!!!
 
I just want a win. "Improvement" is not a word you can use in a opening season loss that basically takes us out of Coastal contention. Gotta win. THAT is were this program has failed in the Golden era. Winning big games.

We just have to win this ******* game.

Great adjustment, time management, some gutsy calls here or there. Some proof that the CEO can also be a game day COO, not just on the recruiting trail or PR trail. Some proof that it was to some degree players in the past (even if we can argue that they should have adjusted it)

Without reading other peoples comments my answer will be a more aggressive style D that keeps team under 500 yards a game. Even if we lose and show improvement i will be happy with that. If we get ate up for 500 yards tonight and sit back in some bend but dont break D im going to throw a rant.

Petrino runs a quick passing offense. Pressure on the QB is only going to matter if their QB doesn't like the first read and holds the ball. Assignments, getting off blocks, and solid tackling by the LBs and DBs is going to be the key, IMO. And stopping the run.
 
Id like to see yearby run off a few so we know we have more than Duke back there officially.
 
Just overall solid football from both sides of the ball, if they do that, the talent will take over. Collectively play as a unit offense/defense/ special teams. I believe if that happens this game won't be close. We have a very talented football team, the guys just have to put it together!

I want the defense to also put some points on the board. Make them pay when they turn it over! Scoop and Score or PickSix. Don't even matter!
 
defense - good linebacker play. I'm ok with the dline and the back 4. This defense relies on the linebackers making plays in space. don't want to see them lost in space again, looking at you dorito.

offense - the talent is there, even with a true frosh qb. want to see coach coley put together a creative game plan that gets the playmakers the ball in space. if i go more than 3 consecutive plays where i predict the coming play i'm gonna lose my ****. and probably a t.v. remote. or two.

sadly, i have more faith in dorito putting together a good game plan than coley the recruiter.
