I know this is an impossible request, but would be great to not hear the usually crap that derails every thread for the last 8 months.
I'm delusional in that request I know, but there are hours of optimism left before kickoff turns us all ecstatic or apocalyptic.

For me, I just want even a hint that after what my eyes have seen, on game day we have coaches finally and not corches.

Great adjustment, time management, some gutsy calls here or there. Some proof that the CEO can also be a game day COO, not just on the recruiting trail or PR trail. Some proof that it was to some degree players in the past (even if we can argue that they should have adjusted it)

BIG WIN, blow out style! Seriously our defense being improved and Coley making smart play calls. Get the ball into play maker hands asap, dont have Brad trying to win it himself.
 
A win, of course.
The defense giving up no more than 350 yards.
Smart offensive play-calling from Coley.

Good defense from the Canes. I want to see an aggressive attacking defense. I want sacks, INTs, big hits, runs stuffed. A shut-out would be amazing. Holding them under 10 would be good as well.
 
Improved defense. Obviously I want a win, but if our defense shows up and we lose or barely win b/c we have a freshman QB who looks like a freshman QB, I rather that than the same result with what we have seen from the defense the last several years. At least a true freshman QB should get better with time, but if the defense still looks like garbage...

Be able to create pressure from only four men. We have the type of players to be able to do it.

some nice things would be

-a savage defense
-200 yards by duke
-no picks by kaaya
-a kick or punt return for a td (would be cool if berrios did)

Thats all I want.

Starting a Frosh on the road, Im very nervous. But its time for this defense to step up. We dont have to be the GOAT UM defense, but we need to be competitive and much improved.
