What's the most maddening thing from a schematic standpoint?....

That's the other thing Ive said for awhile, we play offensively at a molasses-like tempo. Lets be honest, our games are kinda boring a lot of times. When Miami had a coaching vacancy for about 12 hours last December, I was very intrigued by the likes of a Dino Babers, someone of that ilk, that play fast from beginning to end...
I was legitimately excited to see what Applewhite could do with this offense (when he was rumored to be the next OC).

Miami ran the pro style before that was great for that era.

In this era we need a Ohio State style spread or a B1G 12 style air raid.

For those that say you can’t win with an air raid. I have a question. You have to remember what conference and most importantly the division we play in.

If you transported Oklahoma State to The ACC coastal in the last 15 years would they win it?

If you transported USC to the ACC coastal in the last 15 years would they win in?

How about Texas Tech?

Washington State?

TCU?

West Virginia?

Missouri?

K-State?

Missouri?

Texas A and M?

I think all those teams win the coastal more than they lose it the last 15 years

Holy s*** just put Jarren in the shotgun. His problem is processing things too slow, so why would you have him turn his back to the defense and then have to make decisions twice as fast as he would from the gun.

Also it seemed like we ran more play action than, actual run plays. That was the most baffling thing to me all day yesterday

Does the offense not remind you of when Miami refused to play Brock Berlin in the gun 100%. He was average at best under center, and seemed to excel from the shotgun. So, why not play him from the shotgun all the time?
