I can't believe the level of football displayed by the U in the last decade plus.

Kaaya was loved by the U faithful but is 17-15 as a starter????

3 Canes kicked off the team this year.

I was a huge Canes fan growing up but the U has truly fallen form the college football elite. I realize the injuries on D but the Hokies had 2 D lineman missing and had 8 sacks. The O lacks explosion. Its nothing like the good ole days.

Richt hasn't made a difference. Its crazy how much talent is in FLA.

I now see more opponents flashing the "U" with their hands than the U. Carolina and the Hokies today. In the old days someone would have got their a** handed to them after the game for flashing the U. What's the answer????

Loser mentality, scary QB, sorry *** linemen, goofy *** kicker, soft WRs, awful safeties, non-exsistent special teams, dumb *** penalties

Shalala, every AD after Paul Dee retired, every coach since Butch left.

NFL says talent is still there, but we're giving these kids zero chance to succeed while at Miami.

Butch da gawd sitting in a tv studio when he should be on Miami's sideline. What's up with dat?

EXACTLY what I was thinking about Butch. He's one he** of a coach. He is the 1 to bring the U back. Only 64. Could get 5 good years out of him and bring the program BACK!!!

On a positive note, 3 losses in 11 days has to be some kind of record, right?

Official bagman of the WEZ

Butch this Butch that. You guys really talk about this guy like he never had a losing season. He only lost 3 or more games here every year besides one. He is also unemployed which speaks to how awesome ppl outside of Miami fans who are stuck in the past, really think of him

He never played flat. He could recruit. He could build a team. He had a fire in his ***, and knew how to light a fire in his team's ***.

You guys look at raw numbers - but ignore the hole he dug us out of. Much worse than this.

You realize that it was Paul Dee's lack of backbone that led to Coker being hired, even though there were superior options, right? Frankly, guys like Eichorst, Hocutt and others had to attempt to fix what Dee allowed to happen, with varying results. Paul Dee saw firsthand the changing college football landscape and sat back. He didn't fundraise, didn't push for changes in the way his department was managed, and that put Miami behind the eight ball. You look at the last decade plus, it's amazing how much waste there was, due to people like Dee not getting with the times.

31-6 to ECU. That's playing flat, I can go name a fair number of games in which Butch teams got obliterated, and barely gave a ****. That UCLA game was special, but let's not rewrite history.

Yes I look at wins and losses. That is all that matters at the end of the day. The legend of Butch Davis has grown to a point where ppl act like he had no faults

Don't be an idiot.

Nick Saban at Alabama - ALABAMA - lost to Louisiana-Monroe.

Every coach loses one here and there - but under Butch, we got better and better after the sanctions tanked us.

The real problem is, after making millions off the football program in the'80's, early '90's and then again in 2000-2003, the university under Shalala and her cohorts intentionally de-emphasized the sport. Then there was the Shytpiro mess which just made things twice as bad. The university doesn't really want a top football program. It's reflected in the type of people who are hired to. run it. There's all this talk about an IPF now, but it's. simply too ####ing late for us to be any good again. Wake Forest has an IPF, too. It's all window dressing and BS. Nobody at this half azzed university gives a rat's prick about having watchable football anymore. The good ole days are gone, finished, done.

I barely watch the games anymore. There are HS teams in Miami that are better. Since no one gives a final **** about improving, the whole damned school can kiss my butt.

university president shows up unannounced to practice to tell the team how much he appreciates their efforts in a loss

but yeah, no one cares.. especially all the ones that pony'd up 7 million to get rid of golden and then another 4 million just for richt alone

no one cares

Keep hoping and praying Frenk really wants to do something for the program. However, remember he doesn't have the whole say. There's the BOT and a mess of other clueless fat cats running the show, too. Go on believing things can get better, but don't stake your. Life on it.

Paul Dee was a fat, stinking Gator. I hope he's in a very warm place now.
