Whatever happened to

Gus had guys laying the squat bar directly on their neck instead of shoulders apparently.

Ahmon was obviously not tackling anyone. And wasn't Young injured by a blocker on punt coverage?

Manny teaches the Rugby/Australian tackling technique. It stresses wrapping the opponent up around the waist or legs and rolling them to the ground rather than squaring up and driving your face/head into their chest like traditional tackling. In reality you should have far fewer head/neck injuries with the technique Manny teaches.

I remember when I made a fire Gus thread and dudes on here were defending Gus. Dude was out here ending dudes career. The minute Gus got here neck injuries and hamstring injuries galore. This is what happens when you hire an unqualified fat S&C coach whose only other history was being a HC S&C coach.

You really don’t know what you’re talking about.

Gus may have not been a good S&C coach, and maybe we should have hired better, but you’re clueless when it comes to the cause of these injuries.

It’s just straight ignorance and superstition based on zero evidence.

About these neck injuries - is this largely due to the new tackling technique?
NFL has been having these problems as well.
I've been hearing it's these new helmets that is supposed to reduce concussion risk, but puts more strain on the players spine, mainly the upper vertebra.
I'll find that article and post it.

Dont think AR was a specific injury but discovery of a condition (i.e. a narrow spinal column or stenosis (speculating))

I'm not a S&C guru but come on. 3 neck injuries in a span of 2 years? Something is up. S&C coaches are suppose to make sure injuries like that don't happen.

That’s possible.

At least your argument is based on something medically and scientifically possible, not on wild *** guessing by people that have no concept of science, medicine or the scientific principles which guide the concept of causation.

Saying “sonething is up” is ignorant. You have no concept of science, statistics, or medicine. You are relying on uninformed and ignorant superstition and “seat of the pants” throwing shlt out there. Medical science doesn’t work that way.

Do you even understand the concept of the scientific principle or statistical causation and correlation? No, you don’t.

You sound like an ignorant peasant praying to witches and warlocks.

I'm pretty sure that's what was reported; as much as could be with HIPAA

I really don’t know what was reported, or if it was accurate. One would literally have to have his chart, including every single imaging file, and then consult with a spinal specialist.

But certainly, if he has spinal stenosis, and I’m not a neurosurgeon or orthopod, that is an awfully scary thing to have if you’re going to play football
