That ain't happening,he will take 2 months to hire a new OC when Dowson leaves after our last game late november.He will interview multiple guys,some will grow tire of the long process and cut it off while 1 or 2 will play along until Mario is convinced his top choice is on board with him micro managing him,then we will get the new OC,same process as the last 2.

Force Mario to allow his coordinators to do their thing. Get Mario out of the headset on play calling and scheming. Figure out how much of this debacle is Mario's interfering with this staff.

Mario takes more of CEO role. See how that goes for next few games. Learn a lot from that experiment and setup for next year.

The reality is he is not getting fired, so play to his strengths (roster building, securing NIL, etc...) and limit the negative impact of his weaknesses
 
I would hire another gray beard analyst and stop hire lil kids to send out recruiting emails or line up cones on the practice field.

I would hire an former older oc or head coach that would assist in the offensive game planning.

I myself would stay out of it.
 
If Mario doesn’t change his 3 yds in a cloud of turf particles it doesn’t make a difference who he brings in…Bill Walsh couldn’t succeed with this stupid Cuban ( no slight to any other Cuban but this one) with his caveman mentality handicapping him.

We’ve all said a million times Mario ,and this includes his half-pint butt buddy, need to just recruit and worry about the Oline and leave ALL of the play calling and formations to the OC.

Until he does this what we have now is what we will have then no matter who he brings in and I’m afraid any OC after watching him work will not want any part of this offense . Coaching is a tight knit community and any OC we may want to hire probably knows 1-2 or all of the OC’s we’ve had and after they’re told how things really are here I doubt we can get anyone worth a ****.

I've been pretty much checked out since the FSU game. Some of us 'retards' saw this coming a mile away.

Regardless of how much talent you have, if you play to not lose - expect to lose.

Pray that he replicates the Harbaugh path at Michigan (Harbaugh couldnt win **** till year 6 (5% Chance this happens).

Completely relinquish any impact on the offense . CEO only

harbaugh only won by cheating and knowing the plays.....we so dumb we dont know our own plays so i doubt we would be able to replicate that.

We had 2 top 100 picks last season, and looks like 2 again this season.

We dont have overwhelming talent.
 
After I pay down the mortgage, I'll raise my donation to Canes Connection.

We need more money.

We may need to be more like Michigan as well, but not sure we've got that dawg in us.

Seems to me Mario doesn't want around anyone who doesn't completely agree with his philosophy,a gray beard will butt heads with his stubbornness even Alonzo had enough of getting ignored and moved on.
 
We need experienced co-ordinators who can operate without interference. Unfortunately, most wont work for a coach like Mario.

Supposedly, Mario is close to guys Pat Fitzgerald and Napier. Those aren't the names id go with but Mario needs someone who P4 HC experience to help

The consensus that the program can't fire him is correct, but it shouldn't be. Leaders do what needs to be done to complete the mission. If the mission to to win enough football games to not be the worst team in the league...this staff is passing with flying colors, and nothing will be done.

If the goal is to win or at least play for championships...this mission is a failure and will continue to be. We can't even win the ACC. An 8 million dollar a year coach...can't win the ACC...in a year Clemson is dog****. I take flak for this comment...but the writing was on the wall waaay back at MTSU. You win those games handily in your worst performance.

Every years...three game skid after a bye week or at the end of the season. Head scratching TOs. Undisciplined penalties that crush drives. THIS IS A COACHING PROBLEM.

People are saying our kids aren't executing.... they are executing the exact dumb **** being called half the time. The coaching staff is being out coached. We are in dogfights week over week for 3 ******* years with better overall rosters. This is unacceptable for any college football program, but especially in the ACC.

I get it, coach is under contract for another 6 years...but the program needs to cut bait. This is 2 years in a row we have a playoff roster and wont make the playoffs. Thats at least, what 8 million left on the table? The program has to evaluate where it is and determine if the buyout is worth the potential.
 
The Administration/DanRad need to recognize that the only way to succeed with Mario is to surround him with an elite coaching staff that provides legit schematic advantages.

And Mario should lose his privileges to unilaterally hire his coaching staff… too many failures.

Form a committee of former UM players/coaches who are still well connected to the collegiate level and the NFL to identify and hire the best/brightest.

McVay/Shanahan’s coaching staffs for an OC… whatever it takes.
