random bowl game = Win

i see the season playing how similar to 2013...starting out 7-0 but with obvious cracks in the armor and weaknesses on defense. after failing to adjust in the 2nd half on the road in boston college and getting upset, the team gets ****ed off at the coaches, which leads to several key starters getting suspended for the next game at home against a ranked syracuse team, which ends up being an upset loss.

at this point, with title dreams officially down the drain, the team follows the lead of its lifeless coaching staff and lays a huge egg in a revenge matchup vs. washington. they go up the blacksburg with no gameplan or focus and this results in another loss, which puts them in a 3rd rate bowl game, which they barely win. the head coach staff points to the "big-time bowl win as a sign of things trending upward" and is rewarded with a 10-year extension.

got them going 8-4

how about you?

Nah, that team couldn't have been undone. The chemistry and quality were already in place. Now if this staff had taken over in 1997, then we aren't having this conversation because 2001 wouldn't have been anything special. But they wouldn't have screwed up THAT team.
