This is not a question of what you expect to happen or want to happen. I tried to come up with a list, but very few outcomes would surprise me. Their are too many new pieces for me to definitively predict anything.

-Winning a Championship
-Losing to Bethune Cookman

Mario winning games thru proper coaching instead of losing them or playing scared (kicking field goals while your number one offense sits the bench relying on the worst defense at Miami ever). Do that and I have no bad predictions.

Good surprises:
- Being a low penalized team
- No poor coaching decisions that cost us games
- We have a top rushing defense

Bad surprises:
- The passing game doesn't click the way we expect
- Heathermann fails to live up the hype. The defense improves only modestly

Joining the SEC would be a huge surprise. Joining the Big Ten, somewhat less of a surprise.

Also, resigning with Adidas would be a close second.

Interesting question because last year, before the Syracuse game, my brother, who is a huge football fan but has no tie to UM other than me, asked me about the team, and my answer was that nothing would surprise me. 'We can lose to Syracuse by 21 points, or we can go to the national championship game. Nothing would surprise me about this team.'
This is how I view our program right now, just really high variance. At least we've got that high side now, thanks to Mario. But I would like that bottom to rise considerably.
And before anyone says pause, you need to listen to the new Ghostface Album! Iykyk!!

I’d be surprised if our offense was more efficient than last years…

I just don't see any scenario where WR isn't the weak point of the team in big games. I've read different but I don't believe it.

The thing I’m most sure of is the offensive line/running game will be very good to elite, so if that turned out to be average to below average I’d be shocked.

- Players actually living up to the hype
- Less penalties overall
- Making it to the ACCCG/ Playoffs
- Not fumbling away 1-3 games against teams we have no business losing to.
