Really? Al Golden won 10 games and the coastal?
He won the coastal, unfortunately was during a post season ban. So yea, Al and Mark’s best seasons are the same. One just had the opportunity to win 2 additional games.

Stop it.
Closest Al got to winning the Coastal was 2012 when there was a 3 way tie for first with a 5-3 conference record. UNC would've gotten the nod, but both UNC and Miami banned themselves. Our overall record was 7-5 so that was NOT a good year. So we still didn't "win the coastal" that year.
2013 was Al's best year, because even though he was still 5-3 in the conference, he was 9-3 overall before losing the bowl game.

Richt actually won the coastal, out right, with a 7-1 conference record. He would've finished 11-1 overall if we didn't have to cancel a game. Even with the canceled game he did better than Golden.

When you consider the **** luck it took to get to 10 wins last year, I am not impressed one bit with that 10 win season.

As for What Would Al Say....

Who cares?

"I've been gone 3 years and your still starting Rosier?? Are you kidding me, are you kidding me?"

“Stop trying to rise to the occasion and just fall back on your training. Oh and we’ve got a few silents.”

"I'm happy to be back at my alma mater and taking over for my former protegee al golden"

Didn't Al win the coastal but we self sanctioned ourselves
Read my post above lol.
Al Golden was in a 3-way tie for first place with a 7-5 / 5-3 record. He didn't win it out right, and UNC (who would've won the tie breaker based on more wins since they were 8-4) also sanctioned themselves. So GT ended up going.
