shame of a recruiting cycle? Is the "heat" back on after it seemed to have subsided a bit following the decision that Folden wouldn't be fired? Do you believe that the administration was waiting out on this recruiting cycle to see if they would, in fact, keep Golden on for another year?

Would it hurt to ditch this loser now and bring on a new staff? Is that even possible?

The heat was never off, and it hurt our recruiting. At this point, there is no turning back. I hope they fire him tomorrow, but I doubt it happens.

This **** is unbelievable! I cannot see how the administration can't see past the end of their nose.

The "heat" has never subsided. The only thing keeping Golden employed is the size of his buyout. He's a dead man walking and he and everyone else knows it. Its just a matter of time now. Today's shortcoming means nothing in the grand scheme. If UM can swallow the buyout, he will be gone after next season. Today did nothing to change that either way IMO. Barring some unimaginable miracle run, he's done, its just a question of when.

They can't fire him right now because it will seem as if administration and Al were in collusion to bring in recruits first(we probably would have done better if he would have been canned a month ago). However, if in a few weeks he "resigns" then it's fine.

Changes are coming that the fans won't notice after Signing Day per Flake Jamies

Fans are stupid, they don't understand and it is their fault that this **** show continues. As a CANE, I have to root for these kids, see no reason to bash them, they were offered, accepted and are now part of the canes family. Most importantly, get Golden the *** out of here, that is the change the stupid fan will understand.

My random thoughts:

* The sooner you make the change the better, without exception.

* If they wanted to wait until after NLOI day, that's not a bad move. I tend to think golden did as well in saving this class as any new coach would have. Maybe we keep one or two higher star players but no overall difference IMO.

* Based on what I know, it seems that our first real chance at seeing a coaching change will be when the new president is hired. But at this point I simply do not see any light at the end of the tunnel. I have to imagine that other Canes fans will feel this way as well. That doesnt bode well for UM's PR efforts.

* Strange side note: I think the unintended consequence of donna's destruction of the football program was that it put unrealistic expectations on the basketball program. It would be fun to root for UM hoops to do well in the ACC, make the tournament every year, have the occasional sweet 16 year, etc... But now, it seems that fans are looking for the hoops team to become a national power. IMO that will never happen. UM is not a basketball power school.

If the new president has any vision and understands the value of brand and money that can be generated from the football program, they will immediately fire golden and get a real coach, make a splash and close on the 2016 class. Keep and bring in former Hurricanes as coaches, bring back the U.

"The noise" or "heat" whatever you want to call it can be brought up any time you want.

I love how are fans are taking no credit for this **** recruiting class. While Golden blew most of it I absolutely also point a finger at the fanbase. A few of you said all the right **** to be able to watch kids ball out in schools all over the country not called the University of Miami. It's made me completely hate social media

Blame the customers.

Blaming the fan base while not addressing the crimes of the UM leadership (President, AD, Board of distrustees) is fraudulent IMO.
