Fsu game i know they the no.1 team and they been beating us for the past couple years but miami fans are tired of losing to thoses guys up north.

The last straw will have nothing to do with the wins and losses. It has to do with the $. If the football program starts to lose money or sees a huge dropoff in revenues due to lower attendance and tv slots/viewership, and if the Donors close the wallets due to Al, then Al is finished. Money talks, bs walks.

I imagine there will be no one at the game this week. The only game with decent attendance will be FSU, and that is because most of the folks will be FSU fans. When they see revenues drop, action will be taken.

Do you guys live in some goofy bubble? It has everything to do with wins and losses because the money dries up when the fans give up on the program. You guys talk about money like it's separate from winning and losing. It isn't.

This game has the make of 2010 USF game. The fans, media, players, boosters, and alumni were all going in on Shannon and his failures. Home game at noon with a banner that flew before the game saying Fire Shannon. The players quit while some unknown quarterback wins the game. Hours later a message comes across the bottom of the screen "Miami fires head coach Randy Shannon." This is the final straw if Golden loses this game. I can definitely see this going down last Shannon in 2010

You just proved my point. It is the money. If we go 7-6 and still get featured on ESPN and the boosters/donors are coughing up the cash, they will not take the financial hit to buy out Golden. If the money flows, they will accept mediocrity. Only if the $ slows, then we will see action.

Don't forget that TV is where we make the most money. Miami still gets prime time slots on one of the ESPN channels. If we end up getting coverage like a second tier school like GT, Wake, etc, then the revenue shrinks fast.

I think the UM fans and posters on this board need to realize that we could be in the 6-8 win realm for years to come if the boosters and TV money continues. It is only after it stops do we get a change. If we were 10-2 and the money dried up because the donors didn't like the head coach, the head coach would be gone. The administration is willing to accept any result that will result in more $ from donors and TV.

Hopefully he plays .....

Final straw will be a home loss to Pitt in front of a crowd of 12,000 to finish the season 5-7 and miss a bowl game. That is essentially how Randy went down, losing the season finale to USF in front of a very small crowd (although I think he still qualified for a bowl).

He is done, its just a matter of time TBH.

Having said that.....if we lose to a horrible Cinci team, empty stands and banner flying....could be accelerated

When FSu beats us like we stole their lunch money with 80% semenholes in our own stadium.

The fact that we won't adjust, won't fight and will simply lay down and get plowed like a $2 ***** will speak volumes to Al Golden as a corch.

Worse. Al tells coach Doh! to make adjustments, resulting in the entire back 7 to line up 20 yards off the ball.

No way we lose this weekend. Cincy is awful and we will hang 40+. If we somehow lose, Golden shouldn't be allowed back in the locker room. Isn't it homecoming this week? The stadium will get that crowd if so.

Got an alumni email advertising discounted FSU tickets -- FSU TICKETS?!?!?! The time is now.

It's over already. Once the hardcore negativity starts rolling like it is it doesn't stop. It only gets worse. And the HC gets swallowed up. There's no reversing it now. Ask Brady Hoke.

It's analogous to an avalanche. Once it starts, there is no way to stop it until it runs its course. Al is Dead Corch Waddling.

The last straw VT last year. That crappy O ran circles around Doritos. This D makes all the highlite feels for opposing players on draft day.

This was the last straw for me as it related to dorito. i flew in from the bay area and sat thru an endless driving rain storm only to watch our entire defense back peddle all the way down field; drive after drive after drive after drive. It was like death by a million paper cuts.
