The team and the coaches checked off a lot of the boxes of what we wanted to see from them. Was it a perfect game - No. But going on the road in week 1 to an SEC rival and dominating them is very good.

Penalties - Only 2 for 25 yards. On the road on a supposedly hostile environment and the OL had no false starts....no penalties at all.

Third down D - Florida was 1-9 on the day, with the 1 coming against mostly back ups.

Offensive Red Zone - We were 5-6 in the red zone today....looked so much better than last year. Cam is a big upgrade

Aggressive coaching - At the end of the first half everyone was worried that Mario was going to run it up the middle 3 times and try and go to the half with a 7 point lead. Well we drove it for a TD and then got it back to start the 2nd and did it again.

Players showing passion - it has seemed the last few years that the players didn't play with emotion. The only time they did was when they took stupid penalties. Today the team played with aggression but also composure. Looked 180 from the team last year.

Secondary - Other than a couple of soft PI calls and Jaden Harris's bad angle on the TD they were outstanding. Mertz 11-20 90 1Int. I looked up last years game vs Georgia and he was 25-34 230 2TD. That shows progress. How about the All-World Trey Wilson..... he had 7 catches but only averaged 7 yards per reception.

I feel that the maturity of this team will keep them grounded and focused week to week. This is going to be a wild season!!!!!
