What was up with the Cam's scrambles?

It looked to me that he was trying to bait the defenders into a 15 yard penalty

This.

And also, while he was doing this he was surveying downfield.

If he saw a defender grab or run into one of the receivers, he’d have thrown the ball that way (but out of bounds). It’d be an easy PI call during that play.

Either way, scrambling to pick up yds or bait that D into a penalty. It’s a win for the offense

Not the runs themselves, which were plenty effective.

Just talking about the end where he would shut it down like an Olympic sprinter winning a prelim, then do little horizontal two-step out of bounds as the defenders approached.

Not sure I've seen that before — at least not in D1 ball
Clearly saying your not going to get my uniform dirty. I am going to be playing on Sundays.

It just feels like he’s saying “the extra 1-2 yards don’t matter cause we’re going to score regardless.” Pretty crazy. I love it. Gotta be a tough pill to swallow on defense.

Hopefully those 1-2 yards don’t come back to bite us though in the future.

Wtf are you talking about?

You really think an extra 2 yards around midfield in the first quarter mattered? He already got the first down and more. Do you think he won’t lower his head and fight for an extra 2 when it matters?

It’s a set up for season… teams will think that’s just what he does and when it really matters he’s going to lull them to sleep and take off

I genuinely think it's a combination of avoiding contact and being wildly disrespectful, which I love. Dude backed it up.
At the time I was thinking he is sending a message to EVERYONE. To Florida and their fans it was a giant F YOU, to his own team it was a WE GOT THIS.

of the few areas of concerns, this was one. the other were the lack of extension/effort from Sam Brown. he should have scored a TD on the play he got tackled at the 1/2 hard line. on the restrepo throw, he should have laid out for it and he didn't. i expect Cam's and Brown's casualness to be corrected this week.

He knew that weren't going to hit him. They knew they weren't going to hit him. He already got em. No need to put his head down for a pointless 2 yds after he just got 20. He probably slides like Vince Young and didn't want to embarrass himself.

Honestly I LOVE that!!!

It accomplishes so much - its confidence on full display and like someone said before, it’s legal taunting.
AND most importantly, it keeps him UNTOUCHED. No need to bait a hit. at. all. or lull them to sleep for one play.

He’s telling the world “I got this and there’s nothing you can do about it”.

He was being arrogant, trying the bait them, ****ing them off to get a penalty later. He was playing chess, Gators were playing jacks.
