What was Mullen thinking?

SIAP, but WTF was Mullen thinking throwing after they get the ball back with 4min left. That's got to be one of the dumbest calls I've seen made against Miami in my lifetime. IIRC we had no time-outs too.

Not like he’s got Tom Brady back there to protect the ball. Like another poster said above, pure arrogance

I felt exactly the same way. I was thinking that we were meant to win this game. That and the 4th and like 30 that Wilson did probably the stupidest PI I've ever seen. Yet, we declined

Mullen wanted to rub that **** in Miami's face. He wanted to score one last time. Style points. Some voters only look at the scoreboard when they vote. ****, I wish Miami would have stunned their *** with a TD. ****.
 
The only thing dumber I saw was one of their players pulling down Jeff Thomas about a car's length away from the sticks on like 4th and 700. Never seen a dumber DB play in 30 years of watching and playing football. Really thought we were good after that.

Exactly. Mullen clearly didn't respect us. They took a deep shot on the 1st play of the game. Went for it on almost every 4th down in the 1st half. Did you hear his halftime interview "They didn't even force anything we gave them the ball twice". He lucky our mistakes bailed him out.

Blades' double middle fingers and an illegal block the next play cost Miami 30 yards in one tick of the clock; from the Florida 25-yard line to the Miami 45-yard line—just like that. Incredible.

I mean yes it pushed us back but we ended up right back there and just killed clock in our favor. If we score, we give them the ball with no timeouts and less than a minute. If we score quick they have a good FG kicker and could have moved down the field for a last second try. The missed FG for me was bigger, we miss that and immediately after Franks throws a bomb for 60 yards. We make that and we are kicking off, playcalling is just different.
