What to expect from TVD going forward.

I feel like, with that epically bad coaching blunder, the bigger issue went largely unnoticed by the media at-large and some even in our own fan base. I honestly don’t know what to think about TVD any more. It seems like he’s been here forever, and I want him to succeed, but I’m beginning to lose faith in him to be “HIM.” It seems like he’ll go through stretches where he looks absolutely amazing, and then when you least expect it, “WHAM!” He looks like hot garbage. I’m concerned when we play UNC, Clemson, and FSU we’re going to get the TVD we saw last night. Hopefully, Saturday night was just a one-off for this season, but, man, where are you guys at with TVD right now?

We played in a phone booth and let GT dictate what we would do, especially in first half, almost every play was check with me, TVD looking to sidelines.. These upcoming teams are gonna double restrepo, or bracket, or even triple cover and wait for tvd to throw to him anyway

I was under the influence on Saturday but was planning to rewatch the game and try to focus on Miami play calling and development vs what TVD did

Off my hazy memory I don’t think Dawson put us into many “easy” plays against GaTech

We really need to develop Lane and bring in a best available portal QB that money can buy regardless if TVDuck stays or goes. Oline gave him all day to pass and he continues to stare down him primary read while throwing into triple coverage just to get the ball to X.

TVD continues to miss wide open WRs not named X and hes been doing it for 3 years now

I’m not a huge fan of TVD, but if that’s who we go with to lead the team we don’t need him looking to the sidelines every play. Got to trust him, now granted I know he threw 3 interceptions so coaches needed to give him defined autonomy.

Maybe he has a problem throwing a wet ball? The last pick was just a terrible ball thrown to a guy who was actually lost on the play. I think his preseason finger injury has something to do with not being able to grip the wet ball very well.

I'm not very smart but I cannot imagine Dawson & Co. NOT understanding that every team moving forward will try to do what GT did. Game plan against that.

If TVD had looked at other reciever options, Dawson's game plan would have worked fine.
Numerous times there were other recievers wide open... especially one time when he threw to X short on 3rd down, there were other recievers wide open further down.

At some point, this single read, overfocus on X at the expense of others, might get to be a problem among recievers... hope not.

I am concerned. He has A LOT of experience. I would think by now there isn’t too much he hasn’t seen. But he looked massively confused. I am guessing him seeing a sports psychologist wasn’t him being proactive. They mentioned during the game that Dawson received a very fragile signal caller and they had to work through issues. I hadn’t heard anything about that previously. This team can’t win without TVD being the top level draft pick we thought he would revert back to, after the Gattis experiment last year.

But he was graded as the highest QBR in college football through the first 4 games.. one of which against a very competent A$M team, and a surprising Miami OH team.

But yes, he's been awful... smh.

DC have film to prepare for him now... expect more of this.. and X to be blanketed.
