What to do with the mega thread?

Since our OT never got deleted WTH is this mega thread might be coming to a close shortly with an announcement, what happens to it afterward?

Take names and humiliate publicly. Otherwise, burn it. That thread has become a complete dumpster fire and practically made the site useless to those of us who don't have 24 hours a day to spend reading the rantings of the insane hoping for a little nugget of information every now and then. Seriously, 247 has pretty much become the only place to go for actual "news" at this point.

Seriously, it's like a science experiment on actual (supposed) human beings to see how little reward you can give to keep them willingly putting up with misery.

The OP should definitely be preserved, though. I like making and testing predictions. That used to be called the scientific method, before Faucist became "the science".

Right now is a perfect example of why that **** thread should be gone. The last 5 pages are a mixture of Dolphins HC rumors (which affect Dorsey) and mug shots of people for some reason.

Lock it. Titles of threads being more relevant to the info inside would make things way easier to follow

One thing that I think would be helpful is if we tagged threads when creating them with “Rumor” or “Official”

Once a hire is made a new thread is started and it is tagged with “Official” and people should migrate to that thread to discuss.

Then people who don’t have time to read every page of every thread can see the different rumors that pop up and when big news happens find it immediately and find targeted discussion about it.
