What Teams Are Acceptable for UM to lose Too?

If we would have lost playing Perry or Jarren and we opened up the playbook and went down swinging it’d be a lot easier to swallow, although still unacceptable based on talent levels.

The way Richt is sabotaging this offense is the real killer
I think this is where my frustration is with the program and I try to keep my emotions is check but I agree 1000%, from a mental stand point it would be easier to swallow if Perry or Williams we’re out there as it give me hope or something to look forward too.

Going with Malik is hard to swallow because I can’t help but think do we have no other options?

So are you saying that you expect some losses and you just don’t like the way that we are losing these games. If so I can get how someone could accept certain losses vs others
No, you misunderstood me entirely. I dont expect or accept any loss. You asked the question which teams are ok to lose to. There isnt a set team that its ok to lose to. And we should never lose to acc bottom feeders, ever! I was also pointing out it is even worse to go get manhandled by some crappy program.

Fair point

OMG, this is what we have been reduced to ? Acceptable losses ?
I hope I live long enough that this mindset is eradicated from this program

How sad it is we now have to essentially calibrate what are deemed "acceptable losses". I remember when we were ready to literally kick anyone's *** every week. Now it is about understanding our level of tolerance of sheer abject mediocrity. ****...

No loss should ever be acceptable to anyone and especially the players.my views are acceptance of losses makes you a loser. Realistically all teams will lose 1 or more games but accepting losses is sick

Question for you. If our great teams of the past played in hard rock stadium would they have had the same record there as achieved in the orange bowl?

Yes, it was about attitude, hard work and the desire to be the best. Our team used to take victory walks before game season at outback opponents stadiums. Most teams knew they were beat before the game started.

The OB was great, but those teams were on a way different level

Yea we were ranked preseason #8 before reality kicked in... now we are where we deserve to be until we turn this shiit around. Our future is in CMR's hands... and he's not looking too much like Allstate.

If we say that we should not lose to teams like Virginia and BC, are we suggesting that if UM loss it should be only to one of the top teams in the country? Wouldn’t that make us Bama?

After 15 years of mediocre coaching and recruiting, are we suggesting that we should beat every team that is not in the top 10. That would mean UM would Be undefeated and in the Playoffs every year.

Is it realistic of us to expect that level of play after 15 years of losing so soon? Is 2.5 seasons to early to expect dominance in conference play? Because that would mean we are the Bama’s of the world

No loss is acceptable. There will be off days, and there will be better teams. Off days resulting in a loss to a lesser team are a failure. A marginal win over a lesser team is also a failure, by not playing your best.

Losses to better teams are only understandable, motivating the desire to work harder and get better.

If Miami lost 45-10 to Alabama tomorrow, I would understand. I would not accept and hope the team would work even harder.

Compare the teams we've lost to between 83-03 vs the teams between 04-present and you have your answer
