What system/style should we run on O?

Mario is going to recruit an OL that will run, but the offense needs to open up more. This offense is so **** congested and everyone stays within the wall of the OL while half the field remains untouched by anyone

at this point just give me an air raid

I don't even want it, but give it to me anyway

Tons of names out there with the salary we will pay that can kill it here

Garrett Riley… dudes killing it.

Dan Mullen (he’s a weirdo who can’t recruit but the man knows how the get the best out of what he has.. plus we know Mario can pick up the slack)

Scott Frost little worried about him being burned out but maybe a year away to recharge and want to reestablish his name with Florida athletes is what needs to happen

Tom Herman…that Texas buyout money has to be coming to an end soon and would probably need to get back into coaching soon to get the next HC gig… runs a similar offense to Mullen with a QB power spread but seems more personable and can recruit

Ive always thought that the way Oregon played a while back with like Dennis Dixon and Lamychal James would kill it with So Fla talent. Uptempo spread. Quick and short, put the ball in the hands of playmakers and let them run. Nickel and dime with elite talent and eventually the dam breaks for big ones. I’ve never understood our obsession with being power on offense. It’s not a strength. Too hot down there for big sloppy fat boys. Run run run, speed kills. It’s fun to watch, it’s fun to play, it’s easy to sell. I think if we did better at corner and edge that we’d defensively have enough game breakers to win shootouts.

I'd like to see more plays with lateral side to side movement by the offensive line to confuse the defense.

The one that maximizes our likely recruiting resources vs our likely opponents, and forces the opponents to be like "****, I hate playing against this ****."
College Gameday said Georgia carved out time in the offseason preparing for Tennessee's offense specifically.

Guarantee they aren't spending extra practice time worried about any offense that wants to "Put a hat on a hat and knock 'em back" as their bread and butter identity.

What if I said any modern offense so long as the OC brings in at minimum 2 staffers that have been in the system more years? I'd love for someone that actually has knowledge of multiple schemes like Monken at UGA (air raid, pro spread...).

Interesting you say this. I am not an Xs and Os guy, but it seems that our offense is easy to defend. Whereas some offenses we have played force you to account for so many variables in addition to forcing you to defend the entire field. I feel like we don't make defenders think a whole lot or defend the entire field.

We literally try to slam a 5'9 180 slow rb into the line play after play..

Kendall Briles offense at Ark seems like the best fit. Run heavy but still explosive and creative enough.

The north Texas offense also fits the bill.

I think Petrino’s little brother has a nice scheme at C Mich, but they don’t have the talent to run it.

Feel like Mario wants more like a UAB or Marshall where it is run heavy with a game manager at QB. No coincidence that both those teams regularly drop games they shouldn’t.
