Will never happen, but watching Jacurri I wouldn't mind giving the Vince Young offense a try.

Dumb down the passing game.

Let every other play be a designed run or dump off to the check down. We got guys who can play the Jamal Charles role out of the backfield in Rooster and Parrish.

Can't be worse.

Power spread with an established run game.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic but I agree. But, with tempo. Not tempo for the sake of tempo, but an actual rhyme and reason behind running and setting up plays. Lashlee was really good at this but I hated his offense long term.

I don't have a problem with what Mario WANTS to do. The question is can he or does he know how to?

We have a lot of talk about "power spread" and "pro spread" but if that just means more aggressive downfield blocking than zone blocking and using tight ends at the H and Y spots then Lincoln Riley does some of that and people probably don't think of him as a "power" guy, you can run a modern offense under those conditions.

What I want is option routes, RPO, and a playbook that is simplified enough that it isn't too hard to teach consistently. You can be "spread" and still mess up your playbook like Jimbo and make it so that players rarely learn your system well enough to execute it at the highest level.

Unless you have a generational talent, the VY system doesn't work. I want an offense that is dynamic, but balanced. I don't want an offense that is one dimensional, because those ultimately become easy to stop. With Brown as the QB1, you have to be one dimensional right now because he is an inaccurate passer. I wouldn't want that long term. Get a dual threat QB that is somewhat accurate, and build an offense around the maxim that a defense that has to think will always be wrong.

Gattis is predictable and has no grasp of game flow. Lashlee had that same issue( especially the run game), the only difference was that he could overwhelm with tempo.

Whichever offense doesn’t give the signals to the other team. Because that’s what it looks like. Everyone is covered. No misdirection. No creativity. Just bash ur head into a wall over and over. Go watch other teams. Guys are wide open. Oh wait scratch that. Watch the teams we play. Guys are wide open!!
