The visitors side.

So anything you see in the chart above under “Gate C” unless it’s under cover/roof of course, like suites and parts of the club level.

It's a bit hard to say PRECISELY, because the stadium is not oriented in a purely N-S-E-W fashion.

But my seats are near the field in Section 113 (visitor side) [which is section 117 on a new map], and I can tell you that we get a fair amount of sun-in-the-face for games that are played in the range of 2 pm to 5 pm. At a certain point, the sun goes below the level of the roof/overhang, and it's not so problematic.

That’s a really old chart, by the way. It’s not correct anymore, because it’s from before the stadium was remodeled and the sections re-numbered.

Here is a more accurate representation of the sections, this has the same orientation, so the top side or North side, is the visitor side.

They did design it very cleverly to ensure maximum sun exposure for the Vs.

I believe (rumor anyways) sound baffling is designed to channel crowd noise towards the Vs sideline as well.

I never heard that last part, but when the Rock is rockin, the acoustics are insane - they seem to funnel down anyway. I’ll never forget the very few Notre Dame fans near me, they just kept plugging their ears. They couldn’t handle it.

They named it Son Life Stadium for a reason. Thanks god they erected the canopy because games at that stadium were a chore.
