What should we be expecting to happen?

The worst thing the team could've done was win the last two games IMO

Won but the offense looked like complete trash in both games. Shouldn't change anything since we know Richt wasn't getting fired this year anyway. Should be a complete rehaul of offensive staff and give the OC complete control.

This won't happen though because Richt is a loyal, senile old man.

The season ended on a high note... can’t wait to win our 2nd bowl game under the Richt era.

As far as changes... some changes would be nice we don’t need anything drastic.

New Oline coach
New QB coach

New OC depending on who would be interested.. If Richt is open to making adjustments with his style of offense than him remaining OC could be a plus as well.

I’m willing to give Hartley some more time as special teams coach especially with that punter coming in next year.... bye bye Feagles.

Baxa is coming along pretty good as our FG kicker very impressed with how he’s developed this season.

Even if Manny leaves, you can attract a good enough DC with all the talent there

Richt is a few changes on the offensive staff away from fixing this. He has to see that

Or else he goes the way of Golden next year. It's that simple

Pretty accurate. Especially the last sentence. Either MR will make serious changes to the offense or he will be gone no later than November 2019. No way the fans allow it to last longer than that. It will get Al Golden ugly if we are in this same position 1 year from now.

I'm hopeful that what DMoney posted is accurate and MR knows that things need to change on offense but we will all know soon enough. If the only change on offense is a new OL coach, next season is already doomed.

Half a week has gone by since the end of the regular season and things seem status quo, is anyone hearing any rumblings or should we not expect anything on this front until after the early signing period and bowl game?

Absolutely nothing will happen. This is Miami and this is MR. We are witnessing the end of the hope that Miami will became relevant for the last 15 years. Guess what? We are a disease and recruits don’t want anything to do with us. MR have been exposed as a fraud. He will sink the ship first!!

Best guesses.... this ends up being a sobering exercise.

Don't expect any immediate changes or announcements.

If Searles reels in a few top targets, he'll buy himself another year. If not, he's replaced.

Dugans name will surface for other openings again. I would be shocked if a few NFL opportunities are mentioned. Don't let Cager drops, etc. fool you, he is very highly regarded.

You're kidding yourself if you think Jon Richt goes anywhere.

The offensive side of the ball is structured so awkwardly with an OC who doesn't call plays, etc. it's tough to see how a true OC/Playcaller fits.

There is always natural attrition, that is our best shot for addressing the offense but I just can't see Richt bringing in an OC to run an offense he doesn't believe in or endorse.

UM didn't have the stones to force Golden to 86 NoDEstaFrio, I can't see them telling Richt his days handling the offense are done.

I have been hesitant to post this info but I will do so and tred as lightly as possible.

I was not told a time table but I was told there are going to be changes. I was told if you expected anyone from the team or AD’s office to talk about it at all, in the paper or anywhere else publicly before the season ended you were delusional.

I was also told that the administration did in fact realize a mistake had been made when Golden was allowed to keep No D.

There were two reasons I was told changes would be made. One is obvious but the second caught me by surprise. It was where the pressure was coming from. Somewhere I’ve not seen mentioned anywhere on the board yet.

We shall see because anything can happen. But I am extremely optimistic about changes occurring.

I spoke to a good friend of mine yesterday who has been in a luxury suite for 6 years now. He got a private tour before the Pitt game of some other options, including the Champions suite (costs 55k in donations) he told me that one of the other members of his suite who donates a lot more in addition to tickets was at a practice and meetings when we hosted recruits. According to what he was told, the current players went to Rorcht and said we're pushing them and believe they'll come but you absolutely have to keep Diaz and get an OC. I know that doesn't sound plausible but I can attest to the amount of money my friend pays and can only imagine what the amount of the others must be.
According to him, they're goal is to announce an OC this week. I know, I know.....tifwiw

Just saw your post after I posted mine, are you referring to the surprising demands from the players and lesser extent recruits like I heard? The way my friend was talking it almost sounded like an ultimatum.....lol

Let me guess, pressure from the defensive coaches(Diaz)?

There's no question extreme change is required, but UM is consistently proven to be incrementalists when it comes to the AD. I'm preparing myself to be unsurprised, but obviously would love to see something come to fruition.

At over a million a year, a LOT of OCs would be very, very interested.
