What Rudy, Joe Echevarria, and Rad Should Look at In Terms of JD's Assessment

No reason for the President of the University should be involved in the baseball program

When the President isn’t involved we criticize. When Joe took over people praised it as a good sign for athletics. We have people in other threads talking to Joe about the house DJ at Hard Rock. He’s thrown out the first pitch.

He should care about letting a blue baseball program die and a retiree athletic director who’s former school seems better off since he left.

An 8th OL in the class isn't a suck tax, it's a luxery to the only program at the school that is relevant.

Suck tax is having to pay more to build a complete roster because you’ve failed to do it and fell on your face for 2 seasons and choked away a third. An 8th OL isn’t a luxury, if it is at the cost of your skill position players and/or defense.

Baseball was a blue blood program until we ran it into the ground. Basketball was in the Final Four and Elite 8 within the last 5 years.

Schools can achieve greatness in multiple sports at the same time if they hire correctly and commit to it. Clemson appears better off post Rad.

CIS can’t say Miami is rich, and then say we have to sacrifice all sports for one… unless we are rich, but completely inept… which is the real answer.

Sorry.

I'm fully in favor of JD being replaced. But it's not going to happen this year.

Depressing and sad, but true.

My point is take away funds for baseball because J.D. isn't going to win regardless, and give it to football where we have a good proven coach. When they hire a real baseball coach you can give him the funds back. I'm sticking to it.

Playoffs for Miami in football this year or put the money toward the buyout because he ain’t it. JD sucks. We should have enough money for both and the same Miami Bro applies - if you are going to hire your friends, put the money out to make them unbeatable… which I get is expensive because neither can coach their way out of a wet paper bag on game day
