Hope he is great, but if he is great and goes down who do we have for back up? Just need more talent at QB.

There is plenty that have started their true freshmen years and recently a couple of red shirt freshman and a second year QB has gone on to win the Heisman trophy in their first year of playing in the last five years.

The truth is everyone is excited to see him succeed, but he fact remains he hasn't done anything yet. We have had higher rated QBs come in and fail to perform. Many, actually.

The observation that was responded to was that we have not had a good qb AT UM in a long time. It's obvious we have had some highly rated prospectd over that time. They just didnt end up good qbs.

What we need are not highly rated prospects. There are plenty of those who are misrated or dont fit us. We need kids who will do well at UM. That requires evaluation, recruiting (selling) and development.

We're all rooting for Perry to succeed. Hopefully Richt doesn't wind up in a perry or bust type situation.
